CMS ANNOUNCEMENTS                White Day                   Monday, February 6, 2012

International club meets after school today.  6th and 7th Monday book clubs meet today.

There will be a full jazz band rehearsal tomorrow morning (Tues) at 7:20 A.M.  Percussion Ensemble rehearsal will be held on Thursday morning at 7:20 A.M.

Congratulations to the cast of “State Fair” for an excellent two nights of performances.  A big thank you to all the cast and crew for their hard work-it paid off!

SLG members: we need 3-4 students to go with Ms. Mills to purchase supplies for the cake auction.  If you are available after school today for about an hour and are interested in going please see Ms. Mills during homeroom today.  Thank you.

2012 Spot Shot Basketball Competition sponsored by Muscatine Parks and Rec. and the Iowa Park and Rec Association has flyers on the table outside of 212.

Flyers are on the table outside of 212 for any 7^th and 8^th grader interested in an After School Springboard Diving Opportunity.

8th Grade Parent/Student Registration Meeting on February 12th and 13th at Muscatine High School – Registration is at 5:00 pm and meeting will be 5:30 pm- 7:15 pm.  Our goal is to meet with 100% of 8th grade parents and students to create a smooth transition to MHS.

• Keynote speaker on college and career readiness
• breakout sessions to learn about the multiple pathways available at MHS
• Computers available to register for the 2012-2013 school year
• Child care will be provided

Art Contests – CHAMPS logo design, due to Mrs. Fowler and the entries are due by February 15.  Prizes for the top 3 chosen at CMS will be $25.00 gift certificate.  1^st prize wins a family swim pass to Muscatine Aquatic Center.  Contest is with WMS also!  The other art contest is sponsored by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.  Entries due February 24.  You may pick up information about the art contests outside of 212 on the table or from Mrs. Fowler.
