The Tony Robison Memorial Golf Membership Scholarship is open now to all students in grades 8 – 12.  Pick up a form in the Attendance office.  The deadline is April 3, 2015.

Are you looking to improve your leadership skills?  If so, you can attend the 1st Annual Middle School Youth Leadership Conference presented by the MHS Student Council.  This day will consist of workshops, snacks, and a good time all around!  The workshops address a variety of topics like how to transition to high school, steps to success, and learning how to make connections to those around you.  Students interested in being involved in the MHS student council in the future are encouraged to attend, as well as any student interested in developing leadership skills.  Pick up a sign-up sheet in the main office or guidance office by March 31st if you are interested.  Space will be limited!

If you are interested in being part of the Muscatine-Japan Youth Exchange Program and would like to know more about possibly hosting a middle school Japanese student for a week this summer, please plan to attend an informational meeting tonight, Thursday, March 26th, at 6pm at West Middle School.  This opportunity is open to any student from WMS or CMS.  See Ms. Blanchard for more information.

Attention – 7th & 8th grade boys and girls track will start today, Thursday, March 26, after school in the gym. Please sign up in the attendance office and be sure you have a physical and waiver form filled out.

This year, the MHS Student Council will be hosting a leadership conference for 6th-8th graders. This day will consist of workshops, snacks, and a good time all around. Members of MHS Student Council will be running 10 different workshops, and students get to choose which to attend! The workshops address a variety of topics including how to transition to high school, steps to success, and learning how to make connections to those around you. Students interested in being involved in MHS Student Council in the future are encouraged to attend, as well as any student interested in developing leadership skills.

The Youth Conference will be held April 11th from 1-4pm at MHS.  Forms can be picked up and dropped off in the main office or counselors office.  If you have any further questions please contact elena Bobay at elena.bobay@mcsdonline.org

8th graders are you interested in cheerleading?  There will be an informational meeting on April 2nd at 2:50 in the auditorium.  A sign up sheet will be in the attendance office. Any 8th grade students wanting to be a cheerleader for MHS should attend.

This week is ITBS testing.  The tests will run in the mornings only, wrapping up around 11:00.  Next week we will work on make up testing for students who were absent this week or needed time accommodations.

Friday at the beginning of homeroom anyone who worked on film crew come to the library for a photo.
