Today is a Gold Day

Monday will be a Purple Day

 

All 6th Grade and 8th Grade PE Classes need to bring your computer to PE Today.

 

Congratulations to the Middle School Choirs on a great concert last night!

 

Choir students need to bring chrome books to class today.

 

Anyone interested in SLG should see Mrs. Moeller in room 318, Ms. Carey in room 204, or Ms. Acker in room 313 to pick up a form to apply.  Students will need to complete the form and have a teacher recommendation turned in by Tuesday, October 23rd.

 

Wednesday October 24 is picture retake day.  Flyers will be passed out to your Science teachers.  If you are needing an order form please pick those up in the main office.

 

The Book Fair is coming! The Central Book Fair will run from Friday, October 19 to Thursday, October 25 during school hours and during conferences on Monday and Tuesday. This year any student who makes a purchase will be entered to win a prize! Parents can shop online at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/centralmiddleschool18

Report cards will be available for teachers to share with parents at conferences.

Lifetouch pictures have been scheduled for retakes.  Mark your calendars for Wednesday October 24th.

The Matchmaker – Fall Play 2018!  On November 9 and 10 the MHS Drama Department will present The Matchmaker, by Thornton Wilder.  In this hit comedy about love, money and the love of money, the question is: will anyone get what their heart desires? Unlikely circumstances and hilarious complications bring surprises at every corner in this play that inspired the musical Hello, Dolly!  Both performances are at 7 pm in the MHS Auditorium.  Tickets are $6 and will be available at the door – box office will open at 6:15 pm.  Student Activity Passes and MCSD partner passes are accepted. New: We now accept Visa/Mastercard for ticket purchases!  Plan now to join us for a fun evening of entertainment!

 

We have a few extra yearbooks from last year if anyone is interested.  They are $16.

 

From the Athletic Department~ In order for your 7th/8th grade student to participate in a sport, 3 forms will need to be turned in to the Central Middle School Athletic Department/Attendance Office:

1) Central Middle School Athletic Form ~ signed by parent/guardian and student athlete, good for the school year participating

2) Concussion Form ~ signed by parent/guardian and student athlete, good for the school year participating

3) Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination form ~ signed my medical licensed professional and parent/guardian, good for 13 months from the date of physical.  These can be found online on the Central Middle School site under Activities & Athletics or can be picked up at CMS.
