#MuskieShoutOut to the Muskie Wrestlers for joining Jefferson Elementary School during their super start this morning! Our younger Muskies sure do look up to these Muscatine High School students! Thank you all for being great role models!
#MuskieShoutOut to our Muscatine High School iJAG students! Here’s a recap from the JAG National Conference courtesy of Jon McConnell, our iJAG instructor at MHS!
"Another trip for Muscatine’s iJAG program competing at The JAG National Career Development Conference!
Although for our Muscatine group, we did not place this year for Creative Decision Making. The effort and willingness to better themselves and step out of their comfort zone, makes me proud to be their teacher. These three students understood where their weaknesses were after winning state, and took the initiative to work on those areas to be the best that they could be for the state of Iowa and iJAG.
I don’t know how many times over this trip I have told my three students how proud I am of them, that they are three out of 78,000+ JAG students from across the country, and only three out of 1,300 that were able to make it to NCDC to compete. That is a huge accomplishment in itself that I wanted them to realize and soak in during this week.
I’m thankful for Aisha, Mateo, Sasha, and all of my students in the iJAG classroom for allowing me to invest in them, so they can invest in their future."

Congratulations!
Here’s another update from our Muskies in China courtesy of Emiliie Duran. "This was incredible. We visited an ancient town and experienced it lit up at night. Students enjoyed going up the wall and posing for pictures with the illuminated lights in the background."

Here is another update from our Muskies in China courtesy of Susan Clark Junior High‘s Emillie Duran.
"We took a bus from our hotel to the Great Wall of China at Badaling. We went with our sister school from SFLS so students could be with their Chinese friends. We were challenged to climb to the 4th tower. There is a saying in China, “You are not a true hero until you climb the Great Wall of China.” We are so proud to say that all of our muskies are true heroes who made it to the 4th tower! Incredible day! We had lunch at a hotel outside of the Great Wall. Afterward, students were able to go shopping in the gift shops."
