All students need to bring your computers to PE on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.


7th and 8th Grade Girls and Boys Track will be dismissed at 1:50 for 2:00 departure to Clinton High School. Girls will ride on one bus and boys will ride on the other. If you ordered a track shirt, stop into the attendance office to pick it up.


Attention Ag students there is livestock judging today. One practice after school until 5 one 5:15 to 6:15

Any 7th or 8th grade ag student interested in livestock judging need to email Ms Wiebe as soon as possible.

Reminder to 8th grade ag students- if you are interested in helping with Kiddie Barnyard fill out the application, which can be found in the main office, before April 25th.


6th and 7th grade girls you can find flyers about Muscatine Girls’ basketball camp outside the attendance office.


Attention 8th grade students!  If you are 14 years old or will be by June and would like to make some money this summer, please stop by the counselor’s office to pick up information about detasseling.    


Leftover Band Chocolate is now available to the rest of the student body for $6.00 a box.


A Box Tops challenge has been issued for April.  Bring those Box Tops in by the end of April and help your grade win the challenge.

The Muscatine Community YMCA will be hosting a Middle School Dance on Saturday, April 22nd 7:30-10:30pm.  This is the last one of the school year! There will be a DJ with dancing, open gym, dodgeball, walleyball and contests throughout the night.  Food will be sold for a nominal fee.  Tickets are on sale now at the Muscatine Community YMCA for just $4.00.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00.  We are always looking for parent volunteers to chaperone.  If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Amy Hessel at the Y, 263.9996.

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges are embarking on our fourth year of expanded summer camps for K-12 students.

These  full-day and half-day camps provide opportunities for creation AND recreation with a variety of topics.  Camps will be hosted at several locations throughout our three-county service area and are designed to connect kids to new STEM skills and new friends.

8th Grade Graduation will be on May 26. The ceremony will take place from 10:30-11:30ish. Following the ceremony, students and parents can take pictures outside the steps and in the grass off 9th Street. After that, lunch will be served from 12:21-12:46 if they want it; otherwise, there will be a celebration for them in the gym until 1:25.

The fifth annual MCSD Race for the Schools – 5K and Muskie Mile fun run will be held on Saturday, May 6th at the Muscatine High School.  Forms are available outside the attendance center.


All students are encouraged to participate. This year, students will receive a 50% discount if they list their school on the registration form.  A limited number of scholarships are available for MCSD students to cover the registration fees.

This event is designed to promote physical fitness within the community of Muscatine and the Muscatine Community School District. All proceeds from this fundraiser will filter directly back to MCSD students.  Funds will be designated to support physical education and student wellness.  Special awards will be presented to the business and MCSD School with the greatest participation.

Registration forms are available at each school or you can print a registration form by visiting the Muscatine Running Club website at: and clicking on the calendar tab.  MCSD Race for the Schools is the second race in the Grand Prix Circuit competition in Muscatine.
