One Mission, One Vision, One Focus

Mission:    The mission of the Muscatine Community School District is to ensure excellence in education for every student.

Vision:  Safe nurturing environment, diversity recognized as a strength, meet individual
needs, developing independent learners, successful team players, embrace
innovative practices that are research-based, promote high levels of student
learning, technology rich classrooms, active learning, learners and the
community collaborate, achieve positive social skills, promote respect and
responsibility to self, family and community, school-community partnerships,
goal-oriented lifelong learner in a global society.

Focus:  Knowing that the classroom teacher has the highest impact on student achievement, the
focus of staff development and professional growth at Muscatine High School
will be in the improvement of instructional strategies through ‘best practice
methodology’.
