CMS Daily Announcements / White Day – Thursday, January 16th

Help your homeroom make it to the dodgeball tournament by getting those Box Tops to your homeroom container by January 23.

Mrs. Beale’s homeroom is currently in the lead for the 7th grade with 151 Box Tops and Mr. McCormick’s homeroom is currently in the lead for the 6th grade with 155 Box Tops.

Congratulations to Alexa Derhammer for reaching the Sixth Grade 24 Book Challenge.  Way to go, Alexa!

The School wide Geography Bee will be held Friday, January 16, in the library.  All contestants should report to the library at the beginning of homeroom.

There will be a parent meeting for Boys Basketball on Thursday, January 15th at 5:00 pm.

The Muscatine Community YMCA will be hosting a Winter Kickoff Event on Thursday, Jan. 15th from 4-6:30pm. Join the Y for a Triple Play Event with Dodgeball, Kinects Challenges and Cookie Decorating. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Please RSVP to Amy Hessel at the YMCA.

Swim and Boys Basketball T-shirts and Hoodies are now available for purchase!!  The T-shirts are $14 and Hoodies are $30.  Support your sport, and whether or not you are participating in an activity, you can still purchase a T or Hoodie 🙂 kh

**Swimmers:  Practice will start on February 3rd at 6:15.  Doors open at 6:00 a.m. at the High School.

**The Parent meeting for Swim will be on Monday, January 26th… 5:00 at the High School.

7th grade little lunch book club group meeting today

Book Buddies to Jefferson at the beginning of homeroom today.  Get your passes in the library now or please let Mrs. Brown know if you are unable to go so that a sub can be arranged: Sadie Mireles, Ailene Toledo, Simon Reichert, Brady McDaniel, Isabella Terry, James Solt, Calee Taylor

Attention Students:

Wow!  So many of you did a great job with the Major Saver card sales!  If you forgot your packet today, don’t worry.  Major Saver will be in our school everyday for one week!  Please bring your money in as soon as you collect it to get your cards and prizes.  Our representative will be set up in the cafeteria every day before school starts to fill orders.

Don’t forget about the LIMO RIDE.  Every student that sells 10 cards will win a LIMO RIDE to a PIZZA PARTY in addition to the other prizes on the back of your packet!  kh
