The 8th grade Girls’ Basketball Team took on a challenging opponent last night in the North Scott Red team.  The game was very close and intense the entire night.  As the game came to an end in regulation, the Chargers were able to tie the score in the last 6 seconds.  Again, in overtime, the Chargers battled tremendously hard, but came up short by one point, losing 24-23.  Leading the Chargers last night were Kayla Scholz and Yessenia Love with 1 point each, Vada Fridley each scored 2 points, Haley Jarrett scored 6 points, and Macey Rogers added 13 points.  In the B game, Grace Kpor, Skylar Tumlinson, Mia Rodriguez, and Sierra Long each had 2 points, and Lily Vela scored 4 points.  The 8th graders next travel to the Davenport school in Walcott.  They are looking forward to the next opportunity to continue to succeed.  GO CHARGERS!!!
