Attention CMS students – do you have a special talent?  Can you sing, dance, or play an instrument?  If so – we want you in our annual CMS Talent Show!  This year’s talent show will be held on Friday, Dec. 19th.  There are three opportunities to try-out to be a part of this awesome show.  Try-out’s will be held on:  *Thursday, Nov. 20th after school 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

*Monday, Nov. 24th before school 7:45 – 8:20 a.m.

*Tuesday, Nov. 25th after school 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Students trying out who need music should bring their own music.  Try-out’s will be held in the Little Theater.  Please sign up for a try-out slot in the guidance office.  Thank you!

On Tuesday, November 4th, the 8th grade girls’ basketball team took on the Pleasant Valley White team here at the CMS gym.  The game was a great display of skills by both teams.  The game was close all the way– in fact, the game went to double overtime before CMS came up short, 44-41.  The girls twice stole the inbounds pass of PV and  Kayla Scholz converted both shots to extend the game.  The leaders on the team were Macy Rogers with 17 points, Kayla Scholz scored 8 points, Callie Kellett added 2 points, and Vada Fridley and Haley Jarrett each scored 4 points.  Haley also dominated on the rebounds as well as assists in the game.    In the B game,  the Chargers were led by Samantha Menjivar who scored 4 points and Lily Vela who added 2 points.

Good Luck to the 8th grade girls as they travel to Davenport Wood Intermediate School for their game tonight.

Tuesday, November 14th there will be a field trip to the Putnam Museum for the 7th grade class.  Busses will leave at 8:45 and will return back to Central at 2:45. Students will need to bring a sack lunch or purchase a school bag lunch. We are looking for parent chaperones for this trip, the cost for adults to attend is $7.00.  This must be paid in advance by Wednesday, November 5th. Parents will need to provide their own transportation as bus seating is limited.

Parents and Students:  Support your sports!!  We now have available for order, T-shirts and hoodies for the following sports:

WRESTLING and GIRLS BASKETBALL.  The cost is $14 for t-shirts and $30 for hoodies.  Deadline is November 13th.  kh
