CMS Daily Announcements~Tuesday, November 15th~Green Day

It was a great night for the 7 th grade CMS girl’s basketball team as they won both games at Clinton. In the first game the girls got out to an early lead and never looked back in cruising to victory. Scorers in the game were Bree Seaman, Mya Jensen, Emma and Abigal Yerington, Meadow Freers, Indy Stephens and Abigal Stamler. Ally Franke played well off the bench getting numerous steals and several nice assists on offense. In the reserve game the girls won a close game. The night was capped off with Brooke Banter hitting a three-pointer at the buzzer! Other scorers in the reserve game were Maddie Heater, Keira Kruezenstein, Bosena Smith and Blanca Madrigal. Great job girls!

Congratulations to the 8th grade girl’s basketball players on their win over Clinton. The Chargers led the entire A game and finished with a final score of 30-27.  Madi Petersen led the Chargers in scoring with 8 points. Aricka Ramser, Oliva Harmon, Elise Finn, Kaylynn Salyars and Veyda Matos also contributed with points. The B team also dominated with a final score of 24 to 8. Jaeliz Cruz and Kylie Jackson led the team in scoring, both scoring 6 points. Both teams did an excellent job, playing great defense and running the offense. Great job girls!

8th Grade Girls Basketball will be dismissed at 2:20, be listening for your announcement.

New:  Starting Tuesday, the recognition committee will be selling Thanksgiving Thankful grams that you can send to your friends to let them know how much you appreciate them.  Small grams are 50 cents and large grams are $1.  We will be selling them in the cafeteria during the morning program and during 8th grade lunch. You have one week to purchase as many thankful grams as you can.  All proceeds go to funding the 8th grade recognition party.

New:  Hey 8th graders! Guess what friday is?  Spare change friday.  Bring in your coins or spare change and donate to the recognition fund. The more money we raise, the better party we get. Some one will be coming around in homeroom to collect your change.

8th grade students and parents, there are only two spaces left for Washington DC trip.  If you are interested, please come see, call or email Mrs. Calderon asap!

249 items have already been collected for the 6th Grade CAN Drive.  Please bring nonperishable items to your 6th grade homeroom class before November 21 to support the Muscatine Food Pantry.

The second quarter Box Tops Challenge has been declared.  Bring your Box Tops to your ELA Teacher and help your grade win the challenge.

Ready for the cold winter? Are you a bit cold right now? Check out the Lost & Found Coat Rack in the 2nd floor hallway! Your coat or sweatshirt might be there! There are 5 lunch boxes on the rack as well. At the end of the quarter, we will donate all coats still on the rack to charity.
