The 8th grade Girls’ Basketball team travelled to Bettendorf for its game against the 8th grade Gold Bulldog team.  The game was very close the whole night.  Both teams played really well and battled every time they had the ball.  There were several blocked shots by Kayla Scholz, Yesenia Love, and Haley Jarrett.  Tough defense was a common theme throughout the game, especially led by Vada Fridley  The game came down to the end.  Unfortunately, the CMS Chargers were unable to get a shot off to try to win the game.  The Chargers came up short, 30-28.  Leading the CMS Chargers in scoring were Alex Riley, Emmie Smith, and Haley Jarrett with 2 points each, Yesenia Love added 5 points, and Macey Rogers scored 17 points.  In the B-Team game, the leading scorers for CMS were Lily Vela with 4 points and Mia Rodriguez adding 2 points.  The girls will next play the North Scott Red team here at CMS on Tuesday, November 18.  We would enjoy your support at the game.  GO CHARGERS!!!
