It is a PURPLE Day


Book battle is today! 7th and 8th participants in the book battle please report to the library now. 6th graders will have their battle 7th hour.


Congratulations to 6th graders Ava Bejarano, Carson Steffen, and Ericka Morel for reaching the 6,000 page challenge.


Hey CMS Muskies and Staff – the deadline to sign up for the Race for Schools Timed Mile Run and/or 5K at the discounted price is fast approaching!!!!  So get your forms in the locker rooms or outside of 212 and sign up online. The last day to sign up at the discounted price is Thursday April 26th. You may still sign up until the day of the race but it will not be discounted after April 26th.  Come out and support our school and students get your Mile Fitness Test completed !!!!


The Muscatine Community YMCA will be hosting two Escape Room Events.   Boys are invited Tuesday, April 24th from 4-5:30pm.  The events are free and open to all 5th-8th graders.  For more information or to RSVP contact Amy Hessel at the Y!


Attention 8th grade students!  If you are 14 years old or will be by June and would like to make some money this summer, please stop by the counselor’s office to pick up information about detasseling.


If you are an 8th grade student that took an Ag class THIS year and are interested in helping with the Kiddie Barnyard.  You must fill out an application in the main office and return it by April 25th. Late Applications will not be accepted.  If you have questions contact Ms. Wiebe.


The MHS Cheer Program would like to invite you to tryout for our 2018 Fall Season. Cheer clinics will be held April 24, and 26 from 6 pm to 8 pm in the MHS Gym. We will have tryout practices May 1 & 3rd from 6 pm to 7 pm in the MHS Gym. Tryouts are the morning of May 5th in the MHS Gym. Tryout packets are available outside the attendance office. Get your tickets for the MHS Spring Musical!  On April 26, 27 & 28 the high school will present Curtains, a musical-comedy-whodunit!  Set in 1959, Curtains follows a Broadway-bound theatre company faced with a sudden setback when the leading lady is murdered — and everyone is a suspect.  As the Boston detective works to solve the case, there are plenty of laughs and big production numbers to enjoy – featuring choreography by Muscatine’s own Benjamin Rivera!  Reserved seats can be ordered in advance using our Ticket Order Form.  Tickets will also be available at the door on show dates:  7 pm April 26, 27 & 28 and 2 pm on April 28. The sixth grade is currently in the lead with 649 Box Tops.  Help your grade win the spring challenge and turn in your Box Tops to your ELA teacher by April 30.


PBIS – The cut off date for 4th Quarter PBIS celebration is May 25.  Attendance, grades, and behavior reports will be ran that day to determine if you qualify for an extra incentive on our pool day at the end of the year.
