Muskie Store is Open! The district has partnered with Phelps Custom Apparel to offer our staff, families, and community Muskie Apparel! This online store does not close meaning that it remains open for all of your Muskie clothing needs throughout the year. Go to: https://stores.inksoft.com/phelpsstores_muscatine_muskies/shop/home and check it out! Attendance: If you have any questions or if your child will not be at school for any reason, you can e-mail attendance@mcsdonline.org or call 563-263-7223. Central Middle School will be having an attendance celebration that the whole school is invited to on Thursday, October 24th from 9 am until 11:30 am. On October 24th we will be holding a Fall Field Day to reward students for great attendance first quarter. In order for students to qualify, all they need to do is come to school and be ready, respectful, and responsible. There will be extra incentives for those students with perfect attendance, and those who have missed 3 or less days. We are excited to encourage our middle school students to attend home football games, and cheer on the Muscatine High School Muskies! We want to ensure that our students, as well as members of our community, and those visiting Muscatine are able to enjoy these events. Unless sitting with a parent/guardian, 7th and 8th grade students are expected to remain in the middle school section during home football games. The middle school section is for middle school students only. Security will be enforced by the Muscatine Police Department, our School Resource Officers, and the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Department. Restrooms and Concessions will be provided in the middle school section. Students will be able to purchase drinks, candy, popcorn and food in the middle school section. Middle school students attending the game without a parent/guardian will be expected to be in the middle school section by 7:00 pm, and remain in the middle school section for the duration of the game. Refusal to comply with these expectations will result in a student being removed from the stadium and from school property. (Students attending without a parent/guardian must be able to contact a responsible adult at all times, and must be picked up immediately when requested – or at the conclusion of the game. Students unable to contact an adult may be denied admission to future games.) Here are some additional reminders of expectations for our middle school students:
We encourage families to take a moment to discuss these expectations with students to ensure an enjoyable time for all community members attending the game and supporting our Muskies. Failure to abide by these expectations may result in removal from the stadium, and loss of privileges in attending future activities or events. Enjoy cheering the Muskies as you support our team! Go, Muskies!
