CMS Students will be going to Modern Woodman Field, Davenport, from 9:00 – 2:45: 7th Grade, Tuesday, May 22
We have the winners of the Guess How Many Pages Mrs. Schlawin will read contest. Mrs. Schlawin read 17,477 pages this school year. The 8th grade winner was Bianca Coppenbarger, 7th Anthony Miller-Brugman, and 6th Jazmin Pineda. Bianca was only 23 pages off! Please go to the library for your prize!
From the Athletic Department ~ If you will be a 7th or 8th grade student next school year and want to participate in a sport, you will need to have 3 forms turned in to the Attendance Office:
1) Central Middle School Athletic Form – signed by parent/guardian and student athlete, good for the school year participating
2) Concussion Form – signed by parent/guardian and student athlete, good for the school year participating
3) Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination form – signed by medical licensed professional and parent/guardian, good for 13 months from the date of physical
These can be found online on the Central Middle School site under Activities & Athletics or can be picked up at CMS.
The 8th grade Recognition Ceremony will take place on May 30th at 11:30.
Students are limited to one book from the library and all books are due on May 23. Please return all overdue books.
A BIG Thank You to all students and staff that turned in Box Tops for our Spring Challenge. We collected over 2,000 Box Tops. The sixth grade collected the most Box Tops with 1,209. Please continue to collect Box Tops during the summer months for the 2018-2019 school year.
PBIS – The cut off date for 4th Quarter PBIS celebration is May 25. Attendance, grades, and behavior reports will be ran that day to determine if you qualify for an extra incentive on our pool day at the end of the year.
