Today is a Gold Day

Friday will be a Purple Day

All 8th grade volleyball girls need to stop by room 124  on their way to lunch today.

The last day for the Fall Box Tops Challenge is quickly approaching.  The sixth grade is currently in the lead with 896 Box Tops. Can the seventh or eighth grade catch the sixth grade by Thursday, October 4, the last day of the challenge?

The sixth grade social studies classes are learning about the role non-profit agencies play in our community as part of our BizTown curriculum.  To support a non-profit agency in our own town, the sixth graders are currently participating in a Penny Wars Challenge that ends on Thursday, October 4.  Join in the fun and send pennies and jars of peanut butter and/or jelly to add “points” for a classroom and send all other coins and currency to subtract “points” for a classroom.  All the proceeds from this challenge will be donated to MCSA.

There will be another show choir audition day on Tuesday, October 2nd from 3:30-5:15 p.m. Any student who could not make it last night is encouraged to attend if they want to try out for show choir. Again you will learn the dance that night and will then sing either My Country Tis of Thee or Happy Birthday.

7th grade football will have a game today. 7th grade Gold Team plays at West beginning at 4:15

7th grade Purple Team travels to Bettendorf with a 4:15 start time.

Lifetouch pictures have been taken.  Retake date has not been scheduled as of yet.  I will post when it has been set.

We have a few extra yearbooks from last year if anyone is interested.  They are $18.

From the Athletic Department~ In order for your 7th/8th grade student to participate in a sport, 3 forms will need to be turned in to the Central Middle School Athletic Department/Attendance Office:

2) Concussion Form ~ signed by parent/guardian and student athlete, good for the school year participating

3) Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination form ~ signed my medical licensed professional and parent/guardian, good for 13 months from the date of physical.  These can be found online on the Central Middle School site under Activities & Athletics or can be picked up at CMS.
