Eighth graders: Interested in making a difference in your school and community? Join MHS Student Council! The 2018/2019 Student Council application packets are available in the Guidance Office for pickup. Completed applications are due to Mrs. Walsh and Mrs. Fallon on Wednesday, Apr. 18 at 3:30pm. Please submit completed packets to the Guidance Office to be sent through interoffice mail to the high school. Interviews will be scheduled at a later date. April is Blue Out Day for Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. We are asking for staff and students to all wear blue on Friday, April 6th.
The sixth grade is currently in the lead with 649 Box Tops. Help your grade win the spring challenge and turn in your Box Tops to your ELA teacher by April 30.
Students if you have taken 6th, 7th or 8th grade Ag with Ms. Wiebe and are interested in doing the FFA creed speaking contest please sign up and grab an information sheet in the main office. There will be a quick meeting in homeroom on Friday or if you have questions please email Ms. Wiebe.
Attention all 6th-8th Grade Grant School Alumni!! We are seeking out former Grant School students who are willing to showcase their leadership skills at our Leadership Day on Tuesday, April 17th. 8th grade girls-There will be a meeting in the cafeteria on Thursday, April 19 at 3:00 for any 8th grade girl interested in playing basketball at MHS.
All CMS Students will take the Aspire next week.
8th grade students will test April 3rd at Musco Lighting. Transportation will be provided.
7th grade students will test April 3rd and 4th at CMS.
6th grade students will test April 3rd and 4th at CMS.
Be sure your child goes to bed early, gets a good night’s sleep, eats a good breakfast, and arrives at school on time. In addition, each students will need their Chromebook at school with a fully charged battery.
8th grade students will be attending a trip to Muscatine Community College on April 4th from 8:45-11:45. CMS will provide bus transportation for this event. Students will be back in the building for lunch.
