It is a PURPLE Day
-Congratulations to all our Central students that participated and volunteered in the Race for Schools. This year, there were over 100 students who participated in either the Muskie Mile or the 5K. Colorado School won the school challenge this year and Central Middle School came in second – way to go Central Muskies for representing our school and yourselves well !!!
-Overall Male Student winner for the Muskie Mile was Gabriel Sanchez (Central, 7th grade) with a 6:39 winning time. The overall female student winner for the Muskie Mile was Grace Zorich (Central, 6th Grade) with a 7:32 winning time.
-Orlando Lopez ( Central, 7th grade ) won the 5K for the 11-14 age group with a winning time of 20:45. Andrew Hoeper (Central,7th grade) came in 2nd in the same age group with a time of 22:45.
If you did not get a shirt, those will be delivered to the schools as soon as they come in. An e-mail will be sent to alert the PE teachers.

CMS Students will be going to Modern Woodman Field, Davenport, from 9:00 – 2:45: 7th Grade, Tuesday, May 22
The Central Middle School Spring Concert will be Thursday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the Central Auditorium. Students should arrive and be seated by 6:15 p.m. Students please dress up and look your best. Please try and have all skirts and dresses towards knee length as you will be elevated on stage and want to keep each student presented in a respectable way. Please no jeans with rips in them unless for show choir. Please no t-shirts unless for show choir. I look forward to this being a great performance by our students.
The 8th grade Recognition Ceremony will take place on May 30th at 11:30.
There will be no mock trial for the next week.
As of today, students are limited to one book from the library and all books are due on May 23. Please return all overdue books. Thanks!
A BIG Thank You to all students and staff that turned in Box Tops for our Spring Challenge. We collected over 2,000 Box Tops. The sixth grade collected the most Box Tops with 1,209. Please continue to collect Box Tops during the summer months for the 2018-2019 school year.
Attention 8th grade students! If you are 14 years old or will be by June and would like to make some money this summer, please stop by the counselor’s office to pick up information about detasseling.
Students: Visit our Lost & Found boxes in 212. Lost & Found items that are not claimed will go to Goodwill of Muscatine at the end of the year.
PBIS – The cut off date for 4th Quarter PBIS celebration is May 25. Attendance, grades, and behavior reports will be ran that day to determine if you qualify for an extra incentive on our pool day at the end of the year.
