CMS Daily Announcements ~ Thursday, March 30 – White Day

Science Fair participants if you are riding the bus tomorrow, you will need to eat lunch at 10: 52 during the 7th grade lunch time on Friday.  We will be leaving school at noon.  By 11:45, you need to gather your belongings and anything you need for the science fair and meet in front of the main office.

 

Attention SEA Members: There will be a meeting in the cafeteria during 8th period tomorrow, Friday, March 31. Please report to the cafeteria with your chromebooks after checking in with your 8th period teacher.

 

8th graders…. Order your Class T-shirt!  This is our biggest fundraiser for the recognition party.  Order forms have been passed out in homeroom. The error on the shirt has been fixed.  You have until Tuesday April 4th to purchase a class t-shirt.   Please only send cash.  We won’t be accepting any checks.  Receipts will be given for all orders.  All orders may be placed in Ms Arnold’s box or you may bring to room 206.  

 

8th grade girls interested in cheerleading at MHS~you can pick up an informational packet in the attendance office

Muscatine Cheer Program is holding their 2017 fall tryouts on Sunday, April 2nd for all current

8th – 11th graders. Packets can be picked up at the Attendance Office. Tryout practices will be held on March 30th. For more information or questions, please email Coach Sink at muskiecheercoach@gmail.com.

 

7th and 8th grade Track and Field practice has begun. Practice is held after school at CMS. Track and Field shirt order forms are available in the attendance office.

 

8th graders, there will be no more Gym Squad until the end of track season.  Again, no more Gym Squad.

 

6th grade book club meeting Thursday.

 

7th and 8th grade Jefferson book buddies – remember to pick up your pass on your buddy day!

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges are embarking on our fourth year of expanded summer camps for K-12 students.

These  full-day and half-day camps provide opportunities for creation AND recreation with a variety of topics.  Camps will be hosted at several locations throughout our three-county service area and are designed to connect kids to new STEM skills and new friends.

The fifth annual MCSD Race for the Schools – 5K and Muskie Mile fun run will be held on Saturday, May 6th at the Muscatine High School.  Forms are available outside the attendance center.

 

All students are encouraged to participate. This year, students will receive a 50% discount if they list their school on the registration form.  A limited number of scholarships are available for MCSD students to cover the registration fees.

This event is designed to promote physical fitness within the community of Muscatine and the Muscatine Community School District. All proceeds from this fundraiser will filter directly back to MCSD students.  Funds will be designated to support physical education and student wellness.  Special awards will be presented to the business and MCSD School with the greatest participation.

Registration forms are available at each school or you can print a registration form by visiting the Muscatine Running Club website at: http://www.machlink.com/~muscatinerunningclub/ and clicking on the calendar tab.  MCSD Race for the Schools is the second race in the Grand Prix Circuit competition in Muscatine.
