All Muskie Baseball 14U players the practice time has changed. Starting today practice times will now be from 5-7pm. Parent meeting is tonight at 6:40, please let your parents know.

Track and Field practice has begun. It is after school at Central. Please turn in any forms to participate into the Attendance Office.

The Muscatine Community YMCA will be hosting a middle school dance on Sat. April 2nd from 7:30-10:30pm.  Tickets are on sale now at the Y for just  $4.00.  If any are left, they will be $5.00 at the door.  DJ, Dancing, Dodgeball, Open Gym, and other contest throughout the evening.  Food will be sold for a nominal fee.  Parent Chaperones are always needed.  Contact Amy Hessel at the YMCA, 263.9996 for more information or to volunteer.

Attn: 8th grade parents – Muskie Booster Members needed.  The Muskie Boosters are currently recruiting new board members for the 2016-2017 Board.  Board members help with special events like Fall kick-off, Cake Auction, etc. also helping with concession volunteers.  The Muskie Boosters support all MHS sports, activities, clubs, etc raising funds and helping keep the activities/sports going. New Boundary Look Up Tool Available!

There is now a new “boundary” lookup tool for parents to use for determining which school a certain address “should” attend. It’s very easy and intuitive. (It DOES NOT indicate whether a student should ride the bus or walk.)

Tips:

• To use it full screen click the “full screen” button in the upper right-hand corner of the map interface.

• You can use the sprocket icon to choose which “layers” are shown. By default only the district layer is shown, but you can change that to elementary boundaries, middle school etc.

• When you search an address it will show you which elementary, middle school and high school (only one choice) that address should attend.

• You can also click the directions and it will use google maps to plot walking or driving directions from the home to the school.

Parents: The lunch for April 13th will be switched to a sack lunch.  Students will receive a sack lunch containing a cold cut combo sandwich, carrots, apple, cookie, and milk. Students will be eating outside this day with their teachers and classmates!

All forms listed below need to be on file at school in order to participate in any athletic activity and practice, these are available in the attendance office or on the CMS website.

To be able to participate the student needs to have the following forms turned in~

CMS Athletic Form with a student and parent signature

An up to date physical *parent signature is needed on this form

Heads Up:Concussion Form with a student and parent signature

Track & Field practice begins today, Monday, March 28th and will be held at Central after school.
Muskie Baseball 14U players just a reminder that practice this Thursday will again be from 5PM-7PM. I would also like to have a parents meeting towards the end of practice on Thursday. If you could please have your parent(s) show up roughly 15-20 minutes prior to 7PM so we can conduct the meeting while you finish up drills, that would be appreciated.
