Band students need to remember to bring their personal instruments and folders home for the summer.

 

Girls Cross Country for incoming Freshmen – Any girl not able to attend Monday’s cross country meeting  should contact Coach Armstrong in person or by email at tim.armstrong@mcsdonline.org ASAP for important information regarding summer running, and the upcoming season.

 

Yearbooks are sold out for this year. Please be sure to order your yearbook at registration to be sure your student will receive one. Yearbooks will be pre-ordered on February 1, 2018.

 

Boy’s Cross-Country

      If you are a middle school students or an incoming 9th grade student please know you are welcome to run workouts with the high school team starting June 12th M-F at 8AM. We will meet at MHS Track and workouts and routes will be tailored based on your ability. If you have ?’s please e-mail chris.foxen@mcsdonline.org

 

Students – Lost & Found Coat Rack is nearly full. Please search through it, and find your missing hoodie or coat. All items on the rack at the end of the year will be donated to Muscatine charities. Thank you.

 

6th and 7th graders if you are interested in going out for Cross Country, Football or Volleyball next year, stop into the attendance office to sign up and get more information on the forms that you to have turned in, in order to practice and play.

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges are embarking on our fourth year of expanded summer camps for K-12 students.

These  full-day and half-day camps provide opportunities for creation AND recreation with a variety of topics.  Camps will be hosted at several locations throughout our three-county service area and are designed to connect kids to new STEM skills and new friends.

Here’s a quick look:

8th Grade Graduation will be on May 26. The ceremony will take place from 10:30-11:30ish. Following the ceremony, students and parents can take pictures outside the steps and in the grass off 9th Street. After that, lunch will be served from 12:21-12:46 if they want it; otherwise, there will be a celebration for them in the gym until 1:25.

 

 

From the Athletic Department ~ In order for your 7th/8th grade student to practice and participate in a sport, the school will need to have 3 forms turned in to the Central Athletic Department/Attendance Office:

1) Central Middle School Athletic Form – signed by parent/guardian and student athlete, good for the school year participating

2) Concussion Form – signed by parent/guardian and student athlete, good for the school year participating

3) Iowa Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination form – signed by medical licensed professional and parent/guardian, good for 13 months from the date of physical

These can be found online on the Central Middle School site under Activities & Athletics or can be picked up at CMS.
