Attention 7th & 8th grade SEA members: We will have a meeting this Friday during 8th period in the cafeteria. To get a pass for the meeting, 7th graders see Ms. Christenson and 8th graders see Ms. Gacke. You must get your pass BEFORE 8th period on Friday to attend the meeting.
The first YMCA movie night of the school year is this Friday, October 7th, from 6-9pm. The event is free and open to members and nonmembers. This month the movie is “X-Men Apocalypse”. There will also be snacks and soda during the event at no cost. For more information contact Amy Hessel at the Y.
Penny Wars Update: Ms. Stadtwald is currently in the lead by a large margin for the Avengers and Mrs. Carey has a slight lead for the Justice League. The current standings for all homerooms are located outside of the library. All proceeds will benefit the homeless shelter at MCSA so join in the fun and support this great cause before October 12.
Outside the attendance office you will find information about wrestling and soccer club, 6th grade girls basketball camp, gymnastics and happenings at the Art Center.
Sign up sheets for Girls Basketball and Wrestling are now up in the attendance office, stop in and sign up if you are interested in participating.
CMS was one of two schools chosen to participate in CBI Bank’s Christmas Card Contest. Hurray! Any students who are interested in participating, please pick up information this week from Mrs. Randleman in the art room. Entries will be due to Mrs. Randleman by the end of the day Oct. 26. Cash prizes are awarded for various categories.
The Teen Reading Challenge started Sunday 10/2. Be sure to log all your reading minutes between now and the 22nd for a chance to go to the party and earn prizes.
