CMS Families,
Many years ago Central had a parent support group called PALS. Over time, interest waned and it was hard to find members. Ultimately, the group dissolved. We’d like to revitalize a parent group at Central that would help us support student learning. We are looking for some courageous individuals to step forward to revitalize our parent group. If you’re interested in doing so, please contact the main office and leave a note of interest, an email, and a phone number for us to use.
We are open to this parent group functioning in multiple ways, such as coordinating field trip parent volunteers, signing up to support classrooms, raise money for specialized activities, and potentially be an advisory group for school based decisions. We are also interested in having parents be a part of a “Walk our Hallways to Get in Your Steps” group to help with supervision during winter months. Lots of potential ideas.
Again, if you are interested, please contact the school at 563-263-7784 and leave your information with Jeanne Petersen, our building secretary. Thank you for your potential interest in being a parent partner at CMS.
Sincerely,
Mr. Hogenson
CMS Principal
