CMS Daily Announcements ~ Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017

Today is a PURPLE Day.

After school lifting is cancelled for the week. Lifting will start again on Monday, November 27.

The 8th grade girls’ Central basketball team hosted the Pleasant Valley Spartans last night.  The girls played very well and were never behind by more than four points.  In the fourth quarter, the girls really made some clutch baskets and played tremendous defense to defeat PV by a score of 26-25.  What a thrilling game to participate in!!!

Leading the Central Muskies were Bree Seaman with 12 points and Meadow Freers had 5 points.  Abby Stamler, Ally Franke, Ceci Freers, and Abbie Yerington each scored two points, and Emma Yerington added one free throw.  A fabulous game was played by all the girls.

In the B game, although our Muskies lost 18-11, the girls battled well all the way till the final horn.  The girls who scored were Arianna Aguilar who made a three-pointer, and Abbie Yerington, Ruthellen Brooks, Maddie Heater, and Kearston Askam each scored two points.  Excellent work Muskies, we have enjoyed your teamwork and improvements throughout the season.

Do you play an instrument, tell jokes, or take dance lessons? We invite you to share your talent with everyone at Central Middle School during our annual talent show on Wednesday, December 20th.

Try outs will take place December 5-7th. An electronic sign up form will be sent out to all students via their email account. Students must sign up for a specific audition time.  Once you sign up, you are committed to that time spot!  All auditions must be well prepared to be considered for the talent show.  Please email or see Mr. Tolle if you have any questions regarding tryouts.

Box Tops Challenge

The Box Tops Challenge has been issued for the second quarter.  The homeroom with the most Box Tops will earn a pizza party and the student that brings in the most Box Tops will win a small gift.  A BIG thank you to Brenda Verne with Farmers Insurance for sponsoring this quarter’s challenge.  You have until December 3rd to help your homeroom win the pizza party!
