Attention Skateboarders: Because of safety issues, you are not allowed to skateboard on school grounds or sidewalks surrounding the school. If you are skating in these areas, your skateboard will be taken and a parent will be required to pick it up. Thank you for helping us keep CMS a safe place.
SLG is challenging all CMS students to bring in non-perishable and canned food to help the Muscatine Food Pantry. The food pantry receives many donations during the holidays, but they still need donations for the summer months. Bring your donations to your 1st period class from now until May 24th. Your 1st period teacher will be keeping track of who brings in the most cans. The top 10 students will be throwing a pie in the face of a teacher. Start bringing in your donations!!
Reminder from the kitchen:
Please keep an eye on your lunch account, you are no longer allowed to charge your lunch. A peanut butter sandwich and orange juice will be served if you would like a lunch.
If you are going to be in 7th or 8th grade next year and are interested in participating in cross country, football or volleyball next fall, stop into the attendance office to sign up and get more information on what you need to participate.

For Parent/Teacher Announcements:
Parents,
College 4 Kids as a special offering for the current 8th grade students. We are asking if any student who is a leader in your class would be interested in volunteering for C4K? Students could earn 40 silver cord hours during this two week period. They would be able to add those hours toward their high school hours as a volunteer.
You could send me an email and I would be happy to send them the information or ask the student to contact me at troy.kulland@mcsdonline.org for more information. Also students can stop down and see me as well.
C4K will be held at Jefferson & Central this year from June 13-24.
I have added the website so all can see what is offered and how they might help with younger students.

New Boundary Look Up Tool Available!
Posted: 15 Mar 2016 08:55 AM PDT
There is now a new “boundary” lookup tool for parents to use for determining which school a certain address “should” attend. It’s very easy and intuitive. (It DOES NOT indicate whether a student should ride the bus or walk.)
