8th grade book club meeting today, Monday Nov 14, in the library at lunch

7th Grade Girls Basketball will be dismissed at 1:50 and wrestlers will be dismissed at 2:35, be listening for your announcement.

New:  Starting Tuesday, the recognition committee will be selling Thanksgiving Thankful grams that you can send to your friends to let them know how much you appreciate them.  Small grams are 50 cents and large grams are $1.  We will be selling them in the cafeteria during the morning program and during 8th grade lunch. You have one week to purchase as many thankful grams as you can.  All proceeds go to funding the 8th grade recognition party.

New:  Hey 8th graders! Guess what friday is?  Spare change friday.  Bring in your coins or spare change and donate to the recognition fund. The more money we raise, the better party we get. Some one will be coming around in homeroom to collect your change.

Thanks to all Central Chargers who participated in the CBI Christmas Card contest. All of those entries will be on display at CBI bank during the Holiday Stroll. Congratulations to these CMS winners:

These four winners need to come to the art room Wednesday, Nov. 16 during 8th period for a CBI photograph and to receive their prizes.

8th grade students and parents, there are only two spaces left for Washington DC trip.  If you are interested, please come see, call or email Mrs. Calderon asap!

If you are a 7th or 8th grader still interested in auditioning for the Musical next week, you can sign up for a time outside of the Choir Room.

191  items have already been collected for the 6th Grade CAN Drive.  Please bring nonperishable items to your 6th grade homeroom class before November 21 to support the Muscatine Food Pantry.

The second quarter Box Tops Challenge has been declared.  Bring your Box Tops to your ELA Teacher and help your grade win the challenge.

Ready for the cold winter? Are you a bit cold wright now? Check out the Lost & Found Coat Rack in the 2nd floor hallway! Your coat or sweatshirt might be there! There are 5 lunch boxes on the rack as well. At the end of the quarter, we will donate all coats still on the rack to charity.

Have you ever wanted to act and sing? Why not audition for the Central/West Musical! This year we will be doing Elf the Musical. This show is funny and a lot of fun. Tryouts will be November 14, 15, 16 and 21st.  Sign up for an audition time at www.muskiechoir.com Audition materials may be picked up in the choir room.
