Halloween costumes will be allowed on Monday with the following restrictions. If restrictions are not followed parents will be called for a change of clothes.
Allowing students to wear costumes is a privilege, not a right. If problems develop with costumes this year, they may not be allowed the following year. This will remain an administrative decision.
APPEARANCE OF STUDENTS
School Dress Code Rules will still apply! These include:
- No midriffs exposed. The student’s hem of the upper garment must touch the waistband of their pants/shorts/skirt while the student is standing. Shirts must cover any/all area of skin and/or undergarments when wearing low rider pants.
- Shorts/skirts must be at least ½ the distance between the top of the knee and the groin.
- Headwear (bandanas, hats, sweatbands, or hoods) may not be worn at any time in the building. Students can’t wear masks of any kind.
- Spaghetti straps, tube tops, halter-tops, backless tops, and one shoulder tops are acceptable only if they are underneath another garment. Shirts must cover any/all areas of skin and/or undergarments when wearing low rider jeans.
- Upper garments must expose no cleavage. . Off shoulder shirts are not allowed.
- Slippers of any type are NOT allowed. Shoes must be worn at all times. These include all hard sole shoes. Flip-flops are acceptable
- No clothing or apparel is to promote products illegal for minors, display obscene material, profanity, or make reference to prohibited conduct.
- Chains hanging from clothing must not be longer than 3 inches.
- Any attire determined by administration to have a gang affiliation will not be allowed.
- No face painting or spraying of the hair with colored spray while at school
- Students may not bring in anything that resembles a weapon.
- Due to the issues that were connected to clown attire, no clown costumes will be allowed at schoolMrs. Rivera’s 5th Period Green Day PE Class – please remember to come to PE first 5th Period today and not go to your 7th Grade lunch. You will have PE Class first then go to lunch after class. This is for Rivera’s 5th Period Green Day PE Class Only!!!
Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Today there will be a 2 hour early out and conferences will be in the classrooms from 1:45 to 3:45.

Wrestlers~you will be catching bus 16-4 for transportation to West for practice at the corner of Mulberry and 9th Streets, Monday.
Reminder, there will be no athletic practices today due to parent-teacher conferences.
