There will be morning jazz band rehearsals at 7:30 A.M. on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.

There will be a 7th and 8th grade alto sax and flute sectional today after SSR.

Congratulations to Your Mom (that’s the 1st book battle team signed up this year). Good luck to 8th graders Trevor, Tavien, Josh, and Noah!

Tryouts for this year’s talent show will be Tuesday, December 6th before school starting at 7:15 and after school and on Wednesday, December 7th after school.  All tryouts will be held in the Little Auditorium.  You must have your music with you on a flashdrive.  All music must be instrumental (meaning there is no singing with the music).  Songs should be between 3-4 minutes.  There is no lip syncing.  Also, if a song has already been chosen, you must pick a different song.  Sign up for tryouts are posted outside of the counselor’s office.  SLG members who are helping with tryouts, please check your email with the new dates.  If you have a conflict, let an SLG advisor know.

7th and 8th graders interested in going out for boys basketball or swimming can sign up in the attendance office. Practices begin after winter break.

Check out the Lost & Found Coat Rack in the 2nd floor hallway! Your coat or sweatshirt might be there! There are hats, gloves, and kittens on the rack as well. OOps…No kittens. I meant mittens, not kittens…Only 17 days left before ALL Lost and Found coats go to our Muscatine Charities.

The Muscatine Orchestra Boosters are once again selling Flower Cards through the Flower Gallery in Muscatine.  For $30, you will receive a card that entitles you to 1 bouquet of flowers from The Flower Gallery each month in 2017.  Yes, that means you are getting 12 bouquets for only $30!  Talk to any 7th & 8th grade orchestra student or Ms. Blanchard to get yours!  We will be selling them until we run out.

Book Fair will be in the CMS Library December 5-9.  Cash and checks made out to Central Middle School will be accepted.  All sales benefit our school. For online shoppers, the fair is open now.  Check out the link on the library webpage (Or Click here for written announcements).
