  • #ReviewsDayTuesday Dead Girls Don’t Lie by Jennifer Shaw Wolf
Jaycee and Rachel were best friends. But that was before… before that terrible night at the old house. Before Rachel shut Jaycee out. Before Jaycee chose Skyler over Rachel. Then Rachel is found dead. The police blame a growing gang problem in their small town, but Jaycee is sure it has to do with that night at the old house. Rachel’s text is the first clue-starting Jaycee on a search that leads to a shocking secret. Rachel’s death was no random crime, and Jaycee must figure out who to trust before she can expose the truth. Checkout (or hold) a copy with the library staff!

  • Former Beach Lumber Property Clean Up– This building has been acquired by the City of Muscatine. Tasks include lifting and carrying boxes and other items and placing them in other locations on the property or putting them into trucks to be hauled to the Transfer Station. Hours at the job site are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday. The work is expected to go on through at least the end of next week. This is a dirty environment so students should wear work clothes including sturdy closed-toe shoes. The city can provide work gloves but if students have their own they could bring them. The city will supply dust masks. This is no-glory manual labor but any help is appreciated. If anyone is interested please have them call Public Works at 563-263-8933 so we can record their names and contact information. They will need to report to work at the Beach Lumber site.
