Toyota of Muscatine Scholarship – Toyota of Muscatine has established a scholarship program through the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine for graduating Muscatine County students. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually and is renewable for a second year. To be eligible, a student: Must be a graduating senior, Muscatine County resident, 2.5 cumulative GPA or better, demonstrate unmet financial need, intend to enroll in an automotive program or business field such as business, finance or marketing at an accredited Iowa educational institution. Preference will be given to applicants enrolling specifically in an automotive program. Applications are available in Student Services. ACLU Robert Mannheimer Youth Advocacy Award – The Mannheimer Award carries a $500 cash prize, given each year to a young Iowan who has shown a passion and advocacy for civil liberties. To nominate someone or enter yourself, just go to www.aclu-ia.org. Deadline is April 25, 2016.

Muscatine County Soil and Water Conservation Districts’ Kirchner Scholarship information – The Muscatine County Soil and Water Conservation District has established this scholarship program through the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine for graduating Muscatine COunty students. One $1,000 scholarship is available this year. to be eligible, at student: Must be a graduating senior, be a Muscatine County resident, 2.5 cumulative GPA or gerr, intend to pursue a career in conservation or agriculture, preference will be given first, to those students enrolling at accredited educational institutions in conservation or agricultural programs, and secondly, those students demonstrating unmet financial need. Alive and Running Scholarship – Alive and Running is a volunteer driven 5K Run/Walk event held in Dunkerton, Iowa to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention. The Alive and Running Fund will award a $1,500 scholarship to a 2016 High School graduating senior or Current College Student to fund educational costs at a college, university, vocational, or trade school. The award is to recognize and support an individual who has made a positive contribution to the state of Iowa. Catholic Daughters Scholarship -Catholic Daughters of Americas Court #524 of Muscatine will award three $1,000 scholarship for the 2016-17 college/university year. Muscatine County Farm Bureau Scholarships to high school seniors AND currently enrolled college students whose parents have a Muscatine County Farm Bureau membership. Please note that the Muscatine County Farm Bureau uses the same application as the Iowa State Farm Bureau. The same application is used for both. The local school scholarship is available to ALL high school senior and college students whose parents are Muscatine County Farm Bureau members. THE IFBF scholarship uses the standards of eligibility on the application, the local scholarship does not. You do NOT have to br going into an Ag related occupation for the LOCAL Scholarship. The Muscatine County Farm Bureau Scholarship Committee will award up to 6 local scholarships. Then the committee will look at all application eligible for the State competition and will forward on the 2 best applications for the State Competition. Iowa Motor Carriers Foundation Scholarships – To be eligible to receive an IMCF scholarship, a student must be a permanent resident of the state of Iowa. The student also must currently be attending or planning to attend any of the following types of educational institutions:
A community college located in Iowa.
A public or private trade school located in Iowa.
A private college or university located in Iowa.
A public college or university location in Iowa.
Selections are based on the applicant’s academic record and outside activities as they pertain to school and community citizenship. Students may only apply for one scholarship and the students who received a scholarship in 2015 will not be eligible to re-apply until January 2017.

The Bob Bannister Memorial Scholarship was established by family, friends and colleagues in honor of the late Bob Bannister, an active volunteer and avid supporter of the Iowa Motor Truck Association for over 20 years. Bob was known throughout the industry for his knowledge of the industry and his love of the association. This scholarship was established as a way to keep his spirit alive and honor a true friend to Iowa’s trucking industry.
The Cummins Central Power Scholarship was established by an endowment from Cummins Central Power and is specifically earmarked for individuals pursuing a degree in diesel technology.
The Darryl Mason Memorial Scholarship was established as a way for Darryl to give back to the industry he loved. Darryl was a professional truck driver and a long-time participant in the Iowa Truck Driving Championships. Over the years, Darryl received numerous awards for his professionalism and commitment to safety and also earned a coveted spot on Iowa’s Road Team. Darryl passed away in August 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, and the IMCF is proud to keep his legacy alive through a scholarship named after this great individual.
The Harold Dickey Memorial Scholarship was established by an endowment from the Dickey family in honor of the late Harold Dickey, founder of Dickey Transport, Inc. and former chairman of the IMTA. This scholarship is awarded to a student from southeast Iowa. (The Harold Dickey Memorial Scholarship has a separate application – Visit www.iowamotortruck.com to access)
The Iowa Council of Safety Management Scholarship was established by the Iowa Council of Safety Management, a group of individuals committed to safety and professionalism in the trucking industry. The L.W. “Vern” Simpson Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Vern Simpson, the “father” and treasurer of the Iowa Motor Carriers Foundation as well as founder and president of Mid Seven Transportation. Vern Simpson was a valued leader and friend to the trucking industry and to the association.
The Midwest Wheel Companies Scholarship was first formed in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary in 2011 and its strong commitment and desire to make an investment in the future of Iowa. Through this scholarship, Midwest Wheel Companies (MWC) hopes to attract individuals into the field of business and ultimately the trucking industry. As one of the largest truck parts distributors in the Midwest, MWC is proud and honored to offer a scholarship opportunity to an individual who is pursuing a higher education. MWC has seven branches and serves a customer base in Iowa and its six neighboring states.
The Motor-Ways, Inc. Scholarship was established by an endowment from Pat Storey and MotorWays, Inc. Because of the company’s commitment to always giving back to the association and the trucking industry, a scholarship was the natural course of action to further show their support. Motor-Ways provides a variety of insurance products to carriers of all sizes.
The Paul Crouse Memorial Scholarship was established by an endowment from the Crouse family in honor of their father, the late Paul Crouse, founder of Crouse Cartage Company and former chairman of the board for IMTA. This scholarship is awarded to a student from western Iowa.
The Towing & Recovery Professionals of Iowa Scholarship was established by an endowment in 2012 from the Towing and Recovery Professionals of Iowa (TRPI). This is a division of the Iowa Motor Truck Association which represents Iowa’s towing industry. This scholarship is awarded to a student who is either an employee or a family member of an employee working for a TRPI member in good standing.
The Ziegler/Caterpillar Diesel Scholarship was established by an endowment from Ziegler, Inc. and Caterpillar, Inc. Another great supporter of the association, Ziegler/Caterpillar established the scholarship in an effort to continually invest in the field of maintenance and diesel technologies. This scholarship is earmarked for individuals pursuing a degree in diesel technology.

For students pursuing a degree in natural resources, conservation, education or a related field
If their major is outside that, they must state in the essays how they will use their career to better these fields

Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, extracurricular activities and leadership qualities. Completed applications (Griffel & Sani) must be received by Friday, March 18, 2016.
ANN GRIFFEL SCHOLARSHIP – The IGAF awards $2,000 Ann Griffel Scholarships to Iowa high school senior girls who have a passion for golf and intend to further their education at an Iowa institution of higher learning, whether a college, university or trade school. HERMAN SANI SCHOLARSHIP – Any graduating high school senior and resident of the State of Iowa with experience or background in golf is eligible to apply. Each recipient receives $8,000 ($2,000 per year) over a consecutive four-year period as long as the student is making reasonable academic progress.

Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative Scholarship Program. A total of 20 scholarships are available. Fifteen $1000 scholarships and five $500 scholarships are available. Scholarship forms will available by mail, from the Cooperative website at www.easterniowa.com, or at any Cooperative service center. All scholarship applications must be postmarked or delivered to a Cooperative service center by March 15, 2016 to be eligible.
Iowa Section Professional Golfers’ Association, the Iowa PGA Foundation offers an annual scholarship opportunity in memory on one of its members – Charlie Burkart. This scholarship is open to any graduating senior within our section boundaries and any graduating student of an Iowa high school. It is awarded every year to one recipient. Buick Achievers Scholarship Program. We encourage the following to apply: High school seniors and current undergraduates, those who plan to enroll full time at a four-year college or university in 2016-17, those who plan to major in a specified course of study focused on engineering, technology or design, with an interest in the automotive industry. The Coolidge – A scholarship for America – A full-ride presidential scholarship covering tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study and leadership training. American Legion/Edward H. Bitzer Scholarships: Applicants must be a child, grandchild, or great grandchild of member in good standing (or deceased member) of one of three posts listed on the application. Must be a senior in high school. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Must be a US Citizen. Application is available in MHS Student Services. Deadline: April 15, 2016
First Friday Breakfast Club Scholarship: Applicants must have demonstrated leadership in efforts to increase education and understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues and reduce homophobia in their schools and/or communities. Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education: Applicants must be committed to the pursuit of automotive-related studies, such as technician training, body shop/collision repair, diesel, new vehicle sales, parts sales, accounting, or business administration. **JUNIOR YEAR SCHOLARSHIP** Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award: This scholarship awards up to $6000. Applicants must propose a project and two references to the HH Foundation by March 15th, 2016. If your project is accepted as a finalist, you will be notified by May 15, 2016. Tri-Rivers Conservation Foundation Scholarships:
Paris Application – the Paris Scholarship is for $1000 this year! Applicants must be a resident of Louisa County ORattend a Louisa County High School AND attend an Iowa college or university.
Director Application – The Director’s Scholarship is for $500. Applicants can be from a little wider circle known as the Louisa Resources Area (this includes all of Louisa County and surrounding towns/cities) and the applicant can attend any college or university (not restricted to a school in Iowa).
More detailed information is included on the application itself. Participants can choose to apply for both if they qualify, and can receive these grants more than once. Aspiring Nurse Scholarship: Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its second annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. Our website will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates: A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics & A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of health care. This scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue a college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. SFM Foundation: The SFM Foundation provides scholarships to students whose parents were killed or seriously injured in workplace accidents while working for Minnesota, Iowa, or Wisconsin employers. These scholarships are up to $10,000 per year, for up to five years. Visit www.sfmfoundation.com to apply.
Grand Lodge of Iowa, A.F. & A.M.: The Masonic Charitable Educational Corporation is offering the MCED Technical Scholarships (the Mark Earl and Esther Ruth Spencer Technical Scholarships). Students who plan to enroll in a mechanical or trade course of study at an accredited Iowa Community College may apply. Applications are available in MHS Student Services. Due Date: March 1, 2016
Catherine McAuley Scholarship/Mount Mercy University: This scholarship provides free tuition to Iowa students whose family income is $45,000 or less annually. This scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years. The student must be a graduating Iowa senior and enroll at Mount Mercy as a new freshman. Students must reside on campus for all 4 years and participate in Mount Mercy’s College Success Program during their first year on campus. Students must complete the FAFSA. To maintain the scholarship, students must successfully complete 24 semester hours per academic year and maintain a 2.0 GPA. *Students are automatically considered for the Catherine McAuley Scholarship upon admittance to Mount Mercy University.
Iowa Student Loan/Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship: 30 Iowa High School seniors will be awarded $2,000 each for use for their Fall 2016 college expenses. Interested seniors must visit www.iowastudentloan.org/SeniorScholarship to register and read the complete rules. Students must complete all three steps before 4:00 pm on March 4th, 2016.

Iowa Newspaper Foundation: Must be preparing for a newspaper career. A total of 9 scholarships, all available with ONE application. Total awards will be approximately $6,700. The application is available at www.INAnews.com Application deadline: February 12, 2016.
Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship: Must be of Protestant Faith, resident of Iowa, and will attend the University of Iowa full time in the Fall of 2016. The scholarship award is $800. The application is only available in MHS Student Services. Application deadline: May 2, 2016.
Midwest Technical Institute Scholarship Program: Must plan to attend MTI in Fall of 2016.
