Go Muskies!
1. Come join us for SOAP! We will be meeting on Thursday, September 18 at 2702 Surrey Court from 7:30-9:00.

2. Model UN: Meeting at 7:30am on Friday, Sept 19th in Ms. Hansen’s room (133). We will work on position papers for the Des Moines conference. All members should attend.

3. Key Club: Turn in permission forms for the Sleep-in-a-Box event to Ms. Hansen by Friday.

4. Girls’ Basketball: Open gym this week on Monday (7:00pm-8:30pm) and Thursday (5:30pm-7:00p) in the main gym.

5. FTC Robotics will continue to meet every Monday & Thursday every week from August 25 – Sept. 20th. ANYONE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF THIS CLUB/TEAM IS WELCOME TO JOIN!!! We design, build, test, and program a robot that competes with other school around the state. Please see Mr. Fountain or Mr. Kitzmann if you have any questions. OR Visit www.usfirst.org

6. The upcoming freshmen football game on 9/23 at Brady Street starts at 4:30.

7. Class of 2015, If you are a student athlete who plans or has the potential to participate in athletics in college at the Division 1, Division 2, or NAIA level, please make an appointment to meet with Mr. Welsch in the next few weeks to make sure that you meet the NCAA Clearinghouse requirements. It is important to note that some of these requirements differ from MHS graduation requirements and must be met in order to participate in athletics at the Division 1, Division 2 and NAIA levels.

8. Blood Drive – Key Club will hold a Blood Drive on November 10. We will send more information when it becomes available.

9. Interested in earning Silver Cord hours? The Colorado Fall Festival is looking for volunteers to help with games and activities for families on Friday, Oct. 10 from 4:40-8:30 PM. If interested in volunteering, please email Heather Noll at heather.noll@mcsdonline.org or text 563.260.8251 (please leave a name and number where you can be reached).

11. HOMECOMING GUEST LETTER Homecoming guest letters are available in the Assistant Principals office. Anyone inviting a high school guest or graduated guest (under 21) from out of town must have a guest letter signed and approved.

12. Attention Senior Parents Baby ads for the yearbook are due September 26th,

Senior Pictures and a senior saying is due November 14th. This information has been sent to students and parents.

13. Off-season athletes who are interested in lifting after school, we will meet Monday/Wednesday and Fridays in the weight room starting at 3:45 until 4:45.

14. Save the Date: Homecoming game will take place Friday, October 3 and the Homecoming dance will be Saturday, October 4. More information to follow as it becomes available.

17. October 14 – 9(G)/10/Varsity Volleyball vs. Dav. North has been rescheduled to October 13 @ Dav. North (date change due to Dav. North’s request). The 9th grade game will begin at 4:30, with the sophomore and varsity games to follow.
