  • If you haven’t registered your returning MHS Student, please do so ASAP! Returning Muskie Student Registration 2021-22 School Year: Online registration for the upcoming school year is now available! All Muskie students need to have their families/guardians update their information via PowerSchool prior to school starting in August.     Once you’ve logged into PowerSchool here are some steps;
    1. Parents log into PowerSchool portal account
    2. Choose a student
    3. Click “Returning Student Registration 21-22” link on left
    4. Enter birthdate of selected student
    5. Process form and submit when completed
    6. Repeat for all connected students
    If you need assistance, please call MHS at 563-263-6141 or assistance can be provided at the MHS from 8am-4pm Monday thru Friday.

  • August 19th 5-7PM MHS Open House: Thursday, August 19 from 5-7pm   MHS Open House Info
    • All MHS 9-12 grade students and families are welcome!
    • 5:00-5:30pm: Presentation to students/families with interest in pursuing a 4-year degree*
    • 5:40-6:10pm: Presentation to students/families with interest in pursuing a 2-year degree/Trade School/Workforce*
      *If undecided, you can attend both programs.  Both programs will be recorded and available online.
    • Student Council led tours
    • Registration Assistance at the Attendance Office or Student Services
    • Laptop Questions, Power School Parent Portal Access – Tech Dept. located off the  Library
    • Schedules – View your schedule on your laptop or cell phone via the PowerSchool,  or if you need a printout, visit the Attendance Center or Student Services.
      (Schedules are not released as of August 16th.)
    • Students will be able to meet their teachers and walk their schedules. 
  • August 19th – MHS Fall Sports Kick-Off: Thursday, August 19 at 6pm, MHS Gym. Introduction of athletes followed by an MHS Volleyball Scrimmage.
    • MHS Muskie Boosters will be offering a Meal Deal in the Commons Concession Area: $7 Meal Deal – Muskie Chop, Water, Chips & Cookie
  • August 23 – MHS New Muskie Day – 9th Grade Students Only – 2 Hr Early Out 8:20am-1:31pm.  2021-2022 MHS Schedules
    • Doors open at 7:45am. Enter through the Commons, “Big M”, Side Cedar St. doors.
    • Commons, Cafeteria & Library are allowed areas prior to school starting at 8:20am 
  • August 24 – All MHS Students Return – Grades 9-12 – 8:20am-3:31pm.  2021-2022 MHS Schedules
    • Doors open at 7:45am. Enter through the Commons, “Big M”, Side Cedar St. doors.
    • Commons, Cafeteria & Library are allowed areas prior to school starting at 8:20am 
  • 2020-21 Yearbooks: Yearbooks can be picked up at the MHS Attendance Center.  If you would like to purchase an MHS 2020-21 yearbook, cost is $56. Limited amount available.
  • School Locker Assignments (not PE): Please see Mrs. Watson, MHS Registrar, in Student Services to request a locker assignment.
  • MHS 2021-2022 Bell Schedules: 2021-2022 MHS Schedules
  • NEW Vehicle Registration Form: ALL students driving to school will need to complete a Vehicle Registration Form for a new MHS Parking Tag.  This parking tag will be used for until the Class of 2025 graduates.  The form is available online Vehicle Registration Form, MHS Attendance or Student Services office. Completed forms should be returned to the Student Services office. Students with a new MHS Parking can park in the Bonnie St. or Cedar St. parking lots.
  • MHS Fall Sports: It is not too late to get signed up to participate in Muskie sports for this Fall!
    If you have not signed up yet or been in contact with a coach, use the information below to contact the appropriate coach. 
    Every Muskie matters and you can get involved this Fall!!
  • Students: If you would like to request an official transcript from Muscatine High School over the summer, please use the link below to make your request. Official transcripts are sent directly from our MHS Registrar’s Office. Muscatine High School Transcript Request Link
  • Silver Cord Opportunity: MCSA is looking for volunteers on Monday, August 16th from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm to help unload the truck & put the food away. We are hoping for at least 4 volunteers, but the more the merrier!  Students can email Jenny Leirness at jleirness@mcsaiowa.org or call MCSA at 563-264-3278 and ask for Jenny to sign up.
  • Silver Cord Opportunity: Geneva Country Club is looking for volunteers to help at their Family Fun Day on August 14th. Please contact Shanda at 263-8942 if you would like to volunteer.

** Forms **

  • Students: If you would like to request an official transcript from Muscatine High School over the summer, please use the link below to make your request. Official transcripts are sent directly from our MHS Registrar’s Office.Muscatine High School Transcript Request Link
  • Silver Cord Form:  Students recording hours of volunteer service during their years at MHS will be awarded a Silver Cord to wear at graduation. In order for volunteer hours to count towards a Silver Cord, STUDENTS must complete the online form to verify. Silver Cord Form
  • Vehicle Registration Form/Parking Tags: If you are a new driver to MHS and do not have an MHS Parking Tag, you will need to pick up & complete a Vehicle Registration Form. Vehicle Registration Form  ALL students that have a parking tag from last year will continue to use that parking tag. If you no longer have the parking tag, please stop in the Student Services office.
  • DOT Minor School License Form: DOT Minor School License Form Forms are available in the MHS Main Office – Rm-11-001. (You must have completed Driver’s Ed in order to submit this form.)  Instructions: Please complete Sections 1 and 3. (Leave Section 2 blank) and return to the Main Office.

  • Muskie Store is Open! The district has partnered with Phelps Custom Apparel to offer our staff, families, and community Muskie Apparel! This online store does not close meaning that it remains open for all of your Muskie clothing needs throughout the year.

** Silver Cord Opportunities/Volunteer Opportunities **

  • Silver Cord Program:  Students recording hours of volunteer service during their years at MHS will be awarded a Silver Cord to wear at graduation. In order for volunteer hours to count towards a Silver Cord, students must complete the online form to verify. Silver Cord Form
    Service qualifies for Silver Cord recognition if:

    • The student is not paid for the service
    • The student does not receive credit for the service.
    • The service is not for the purpose of fundraising for a group/activity/team that the student participates in.
      *140 hours are required for students in the Class of 2021, 2022 and 2023.
      *160 hours are required for students graduating in the Class of 2024.

** Yearbook Information **

  • Did you or someone you know attend Muscatine High School during the 2012 through 2015 school years? If so, this is your chance to purchase a yearbook that reflects those school years and memories! Each yearbook is $20 until sold out. All proceeds go back into the Yearbook Club to purchase new equipment and expand the program for students. To purchase, call the Activities Office at Muscatine High School at (563) 263-6141 and ask for Mindy.
