MHS Football has a scrimmage tomorrow, Aug. 18th, at Washington High School.
The Freshman and Sophomore teams will scrimmage at 5 pm on the practice field.
The Varsity team will scrimmage at 7 pm in the stadium. Fresh/soph parents will want to bring a lawn chair to sit in as there are no bleachers at the practice field.
Anyone attending is encouraged to bring a Gatorade (Sports Drink) for the price of admission.

- 2017 Fall Sports Kickoff will be held Thursday, Aug. 17th at the MHS Football Stadium. The Muskie Booster Club will be selling meals for $5 from 5-7 pm: Pork chop sandwiches, chips, cookie, and drink. The concession stand will also be open. It’s a fun way to kick off the new school year! Introductions of fall activities will begin at 6 pm with football scrimmage to follow. All are invited to come! 2017 Fall Sports Kick-off Info
- MHS Volleyball Apparel Web Store is open and available to purchase your MHS Volleyball apparel through August 23. Volleyball Online Store
- MHS Open House – August 22, 6-8 pm: This is a great opportunity for students to get their schedules, meet their teachers, and check out the building before school starts. This is also a good opportunity for parents to check out our building, meet the staff, and get comfortable with sending their child to high school. New this year we will have “High School 101” in the Auditorium (see attached flyer). This will be a quick 30-minute session for parents where school administration will answer your burning questions about how things work at the high school. The first session will be held at 6:15 pm, and there will be a session translated in Spanish at 7:00 pm. We hope to see you there!

- rSchoolToday: In an effort to more effectively and efficiently communicate, Muscatine High School will be utilizing a new activities scheduler program entitled rSchoolToday Athletic Scheduler. The program will provide better access to schedules, locations/directions to events, rosters, and changes to the afore-mentioned items. Below is the link to our site — which is a work-in-progress site at this time. Please feel free to explore the site (the Notify Me tab on the right will allow you to be immediately notified of any changes made to MHS events. - Parents and Students of Class of 2021 (Incoming 9th Grade) and New Students to MHS: New Muskie Day on August 23rd is a FULL Day.
- Parents of Class of 2021 (incoming 9th Grade): Please complete and return your Dental Screening Form Dental Screening Form to the Attendance Office.
- Parents of Class of 2018 Students: Please read this important information regarding up-to-date immunizations prior to the first day of school, Aug. 24, 2017.

Important Dates:
- Aug. 22: MHS Open House 6 pm – 8 pm MHS Open House Info MHS Open House (Spanish)
- Aug. 23: New Muskie Day – 9th grade and new student to MHS. This is a FULL DAY OF SCHOOL!
9th Grade Students have MHS all to themselves! Students will go through their schedules and meet their teachers without having the upperclassmen on this day.
- Aug. 24: First Day of School for ALL Grades (9-12)
- Sept. 4: Labor Day – No School
- Sept. 5: LifeTouch Pictures 7 am – 11 am – MHS Commons
ALL students, 9th-12th grade, need to have their picture taken for the yearbook, regardless if you purchase them or not. Remaining picture date is October 2.
