Go Muskies!
- Pack-the-House Boonies Night for MHS Football 5-9 PM– A percentage of tonight’s sales will go to MHS Football. Come out and support MHS Football and Boonies!
- New Muskie Day for ALL incoming 9th Grade Students will be on Monday, August 22, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM. This a day for 9th-grade students only to meet your teachers, go through your schedules — without the other 1100 students. You will also be able to meet the new MHS Principal, Mr. Jared Smith, and Asst. Principal, Mr. Mark Groteluschen. (Buses will be running on this day.)
- MHS Volleyball Practice Starts Monday, August 8th at 4 pm until 6 pm in the MHS Main Gym. See you there! – Coach Martin
- Lifetouch Pictures for ALL MHS Students – Friday, August 12, 2016, 7 AM – 4 PM, MHS Commons. Pictures need to be taken for Student IDs even if you are not purchasing a packet — seniors included.
- Laptop pickup this week: Aug. 10 & 11 from 8:30 – 11 AM and 1 – 3:00 PM in the Library.
- East Campus Registration Reminder – Reminder to all parents that are registering their students for the East Campus program. East Campus is a part of Muscatine high school and all students registering for East Campus in the fall will need to register as a Muscatine high school student.

Recycle the Dress Homecoming 2016 – Young ladies going to prom in Muscatine County can stop by and check out Recycle the Dress Homecoming 2016 onSaturday, August 27, 2016. This event will be held at the Muscatine Recycling Center and Transfer Station, 1000 S. Houser St. Muscatine, Iowa. This event is an opportunity to get a homecoming dress at no cost and is a first come, first serve event. Doors open at 9:00 am and the event ends at noon. Recycle the Dress is in the 5th year for prom and the 3rd year for homecoming. All dresses are gentle worn and have been donated by generous members of our community. Over 700 young ladies have received dresses from this event. Recycling and being green is the in thing to do! Stop by and see what we have to offer in dresses, shoes, and jewelry. - Back-to-School Night – August 17th, 5-7 PM – Take time to walk your class schedule (available on PowerSchool), visit with staff and friends you haven’t seen throughout the summer, and meet the new MHS Principal, Jared Smith, and new Asst. Principal, Mark Grotelueschen.
- Fall Sports Kick-off – August 18th, 5-9 PM – MHS student-athletes, marching band members, pom pon, and cheer members will be recognized during the night. Don’t miss the Muskies Boosters Cookout starting at 5 PM (pork chop sandwiches, hotdogs, and hamburgers, chips and drink on sale). Football scrimmage will begin around 7 PM. Purchase your Muskie spirit wear as well. Hope to see you there – Admission is free!

- CAPE Committee Members Needed! Parents – If you are interested in being a Cape Committee Chair or Co-Chair, please email Ginger Chatfield at ginger.chatfield@mcsdonline.org In order to keep CAPE available to our students, the CAPE Chair and Co-Chair positions are very important! These positions manage the various elements of CAPE. (Food, Decorations, Games, Budget, Prizes, Security, Volunteers to name a few.)
- Yearbooks can be picked up at the Attendance Center throughout the summer. If you did not order a yearbook but would like one, extra copies are for sale at the Attendance Center on a first come first serve basis for $56.00
