The Muskie Library will have extended hours for finals week!
Sunday, December 18, 4-7 PM
Monday, December 19, 7:30am – 7:00pm
Tuesday, December 20, 7:30am – 7:00pm
Students are encouraged to come use the extra study time to prepare for semester tests or final projects – FREE snacks (brain food) will be served from 5:00-7:00pm every night. And pizza will be available for $1/slice on Sunday. Good Luck, Muskie Nation!

• Students of Active Prayer (SOAP) will meet tonight, Dec. 8th, at 3220 Tipton Road from 7:30-9:00. Everyone is welcome!
• MHS Orchestras will have its Winter Concert on Thursday, December 8th at 7:30 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Admission will be $4/adult, $2/student. Family $10. All passes accepted.
  Cafeteria Notice – Students must have their Student ID card or cash with them starting December 12 to eat lunch. No Exceptions. Please stop by the Attendance Center if you need to pick up your Student ID or a replacement.

• Girls JV Basketball Game Cancellation – Friday, Dec. 9th, JV Girls Basketball game hosting Dav. Central has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. Central has canceled their JV season. The Varsity girls basketball game will be played at 6pm.
• Girls Freshman Basketball Game Cancellation – Friday, Feb. 3rd Freshmen Girls Basketball game at Iowa City West has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. IC West has dropped most of their freshmen girls basketball games.
• Boys’ Soccer Open Gym – Dec. 11, Dec. 18, 2-4 pm, MHS Gym.
• MHS Bands will have its Winter Concert on Saturday, December 10th at 3 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Admission will be $4/adult, $2/student. Family $10. All passes accepted.
  MHS Choirs will have its Winter Concert on Monday, December 12th at 7:30 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Admission will be $4/adult, $2/student. Family $10. All passes accepted.
• The Muskie Band’s annual nut fundraiser is underway! Order cashews, mixed nuts, puddles, and chocolate dipped cherries, toffee almonds, malted milk balls, and other sweet treats now – they make great holiday gifts or a treat for yourself!For a flyer with pictures and prices, or to make a purchase, call 299-8082, email jstogdill@machlink.com, or talk to any of the MHS band students. Walk-ins are welcome at the band’s “nut house” at 1600 Plaza Place. Hours are every Tues. evening from 6-7:30 pm and Sat. morning from 10 am till noon until Dec. 20, so buy now before we run out!

• The Y Youth Sports is looking for volunteers for basketball and soccer seasons. Depending on your interests you’d be able to be a coach, referee, or scorekeeper. Typical volunteer days are Saturday mornings during each six-week season. Volunteers must have an interest in sports or working with kids.
