- The Boys’ Basketball Team will take on North Scott on Friday, Feb. 26 at North Scott – Substate 5 Semifinal game. Game time is 7pm.
General Public Online Ticket Purchase: Due to the size of their gym and COVID protocols, there is a very limited number of tickets that are available.

- Boys’ Track: Boys’ track practice starts March 1 (Monday). We will meet in the competition gym (Main gym). Practice begins at 3:40 PM. You MUST have a current physical, concussion form, and parent permission form on file with the athletic office before you can practice. All forms can be found outside Mr. Ulses’s office door. Wear a mask to practice and bring a water bottle. If you have any questions, please see Coach Rusch.

- This week is National Engineers Week. HNI, HON, and Allsteel actively support the week with the goal to educate, engage, and celebrate the careers and people in engineering. Due to Covid-19 and the continued restrictions, we are unable to host tours and other in-person work based learning events, however, we recognize the need and importance of engaging with students in our region. In an effort to continue our outreach initiatives, we have created virtual 360 tours of our Testing Lab and one of our production facilities. We hope these tours provide insight into the manufacturing industry and engineering technologies to your students. We look forward to partnering with you for in-person events in the near future.

- Seniors: Deadlines are fast approaching for scholarship applications and financial aid offers. Our Americorps Student Leaders will have office hours in the library starting Monday, February 22nd. This is a great opportunity for you to receive help with your local scholarship packet, essays or applications for outside scholarships, FSAID creation, FAFSA completion, etc. They have been trained in everything and are ready, willing and able to help! We receive weekly reports from the state on FAFSA completion and will be contacting seniors who have not completed and submitted theirs yet.

- Registering Your Electronics: Worried about your electronics being stolen? Want to make sure you remember your serial number? We have just the program for you!
Stop down and See Officer Pena to register your electronics. This program is a free program and that registers any electronics that you bring to school. The program hopes to prevent theft from happening but also to ensure that we have any and all serial numbers on file in the event that something does get taken. Any electronics can be registered. - FREE MEALS for all kids 18 (older when enrolled in school) and under. (USDA announced that they would be extending the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)). We will also provide a pick-up site at Central for parents, guardians or a designee (such as an older sibling) to pick up meals for multiple days for those not attending school in person, too young to attend school and weekend meals. For students without internet access, the district has a limited number of hotspots that can be loaned out at no cost to the students. Any student who needs (or wants) more books to read during virtual learning can complete the BookDash order form. * More information is available on the MHS Library website or the linked flyer. - Vehicle Registration Form/Parking Tags: If you are a new driver to MHS and do not have an MHS Parking Tag, you will need to pick up & complete a Vehicle Registration Form. Vehicle Registration Form Students that have a parking tag from last year will continue to use that parking tag. If you no longer have the parking tag, please stop in the Student Services office.
- DOT Minor School License Form: DOT Minor School License Form Forms are available in the MHS Main Office – Rm-11-001. (You must have completed Driver’s Ed in order to submit this form.) Instructions: Please complete Sections 1 and 3. (Leave Section 2 blank) and return to the Main Office.

- The Food & Nutrition Department is providing a free meal pick up service at Central Middle School on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday for families in our community. We need help packing meals and carrying boxes and bags to cars. Please email schoolmeals@mcsdonline.org for details.

- Did you or someone you know attend Muscatine High School during the 2012 through 2015 school years? If so, this is your chance to purchase a yearbook that reflects those school years and memories! Each yearbook is $20 until sold out. All proceeds go back into the Yearbook Club to purchase new equipment and expand the program for students.
