- Boys and Girls Soccer Preseason Meeting: Both the boys and girls school soccer programs will have a preseason open meeting for prospective players on March 6 in the high school cafeteria. All players and or their parents are encouraged to come 4:00 PM for the boys and 5:15 PM for the girls. Please make sure that you have a representative there for you so we can plan accordingly. Come find out about the opportunity to join a winning tradition in Muscatine.
- Girls Soccer Open Gym: Open gym for the girls on the 6th of March will be from 6-7:30 PM at the large gym at West Middle School.
- Boy’s Track and Field (Parent Meeting): A parent meeting will be held on Thursday March 3rd at 6:00PM in the MHS Commons. Please attend as specific information will be discussed about the track and field season. Please e-mail Coach Foxen at chris.foxen@mcsdonline.org if you have questions.
- Tippie Gateway Program, a five-day residential program for students interested in studying business at Iowa – in the hopes that you will share this information with your Muscatine High School students. The Tippie Gateway Program is intended for current high school juniors. The program is in the summer between the students junior and senior year. Preference will be given to applicants from populations under-represented in business including minority, low-income, and/or first-generation. We will select 40 students to participate in this scholarship-funded program. The only cost for participants is their travel to and from campus.
Program highlights:
* Five-day, residential program: Monday June 27 through Friday July 1, 2016
* No cost to the students; housing, meals, and other expense are covered by scholarships
* Learn about the various business majors: Finance, Marketing, Economics etc
* Interactive workshops focused on their strengths as students and leaders
* Participate in a case study competition
* Interact with students, faculty, staff and alumni of the Tippie College of Business

- Attention Senior Parents: Jostens will be at school on Thursday, March 3rd during lunch to deliver graduation items. This delivery will include your graduation announcements, giving you plenty of time to mail them out to family and friends. This will be the only day that Jostens will be on campus to deliver your items. Please note that if you have a balance you can pay online or by calling 1-800-JOSTENS prior to delivery day. On delivery day, Jostens will only accept cash or money orders.

- The Muscatine High School counseling office has invited a representative from the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) to provide a free presentation on career and college planning for sophomores, juniors and their parents on Monday, March 14th at 6 PM in the Library.
Topics will include:

- Yearbooks – The last day to order a yearbook for this school year is February 26th. Cost is $56 and can be purchased at the MHS Attendance Office. We only order a few extras which sell out very quickly, so if you want to guarantee yourself a yearbook, you need to order one. Yearbooks will be distributed in May.
- MHS Parking: This is a reminder that all vehicles are required to have an MHS Parking Permit and parked properly in the parking spots. Parking is being enforced and if parking rules are not followed, consequences will follow. If you (or parent/guardian) did purchase the parking tag but you did not fill out the the Vehicle Registration Application and do not have a tag, you can pick up the form from the Attendance Center — it will need to be signed by your parent/guardian if you under 18. Once completed, return the form to the Attendance Office and they will process it and then you can take it to Student Services where Mrs. Ford/Ms. Meeker will give you the tag.

- The MHS Orchestras are fundraising for their upcoming trips and are selling coffee! Ask any orchestra student or Mr. Thoma if you are interested in purchasing coffee or snack items. Bags of coffee cost $12.50 and the snack items are $6.50. The fundraiser will last until March 1st, with delivery of the coffee expected before spring break. - Junior and Senior Girls: Recycle the Dress is celebrating our fifth year! All girls who can attend prom in Muscatine county can stop by the Muscatine Recycling Center and Transfer Station at 1000 S. Houser St. on Friday, February 26th. 5:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday, February 27th. 9:00 am – Noon to see the latest, greatest recycled styles we have for prom! All items are in good conditioned and have been donated for this program. There is no cost for any item at this event! Recycling is in and reuse is cool!
