Go Muskies!

• RESCHEDULED EVENTS:

  Jan. 5 – 9th G & B Basketball rescheduled for Saturday, January 10 at Dav. West High School (9th girls to play at 9:00 AM, 9th boys to play at 10:30 AM). Note location change, please.

  Jan. 5 – G & B Bowling vs. Dav. Central rescheduled for Saturday, January 10 at PlamorLanes, Muscatine (start time 1:30 PM).
  Jan. 6 – Soph & Varsity girls basketball vs. Dav. West rescheduled for Saturday, January 10 at Muscatine High School (soph game at 4:30, varsity game to follow).
  Jan. 6 – Soph & Varsity boys basketball vs. Dav. West rescheduled for January 19 at Dav. West High School (soph game at 4:30, varsity game to follow).

  Feb. 9 – 9th G & B Basketball vs. Dav. West will be played at Muscatine High School (9th girls to play at 6:00 PM, 9th boys to play at 7:30 PM). Note location change, please.
• There will be a meeting of GSA (Gay/Straight Alliance) on Wednesday, January 21, after school in room 142 at MHS. All members of the LGBTQ community and their allies are welcome. We will discuss the reformation of the club along with upcoming events. Please refer any questions to Mrs. Kramer or Mr. Falkena at East Campus.
• Muskie Football Program – On Wednesday morning, January 14th, there will be a meeting for anyone interested in being a part of the 2015 Muskie Football program. The meeting will take place at 7:45 am in the upper gym above the locker room. Anyone unable to attend, please see Coach Mueller.
• Opportunity for Silver Cord or MHS volunteer hours: On Saturday, January 17th, the MHS show choirs will be hosting the River City Showcase at Central Middle School. Please contact Mr. Ryan at jonathan.ryan@mcsdonline.org for more details.
• Support the MHS Vocal Music Boosters: Starbucks is donating all tips from the tip jar to the MHS Show Choirs this month.
• Reminder to all students that any library books checked out during the first semester are due back this week. The emails you received this morning are incorrect because of the snow days… you will NOT be fined if you return or renew your books this week. Please see Mrs. Keltner in the library or email at jen.keltner@mcsdeonline.org if you have any questions. Welcome back!
• Girls Golf Sign-up – Any girl interested in playing golf, Spring Golf information packets are available at the Attendance Office.  Please contact Coach Randleman after you have picked up your packet.
• Baseball Winter Workouts – Anyone interested in playing baseball is welcome to come to winter workouts beginning on Sunday, January 11th at West Middle School. Freshmen and Sophomores will be going from 12-1:30 pm. Juniors and Seniors will be going from 1:30-3:00 pm.
• Show Choir Public Premiere  – Come support our Muscatine High School show choirs at the Public Premiere show on Thursday January 15th, 2015. They will be performing in the Muscatine High School Auditorium, and admission is a free will donation. The show begins at 7:30 pm with the prep show choir, Encore, and will conclude with the Varsity show choir, River City Rhythm. We hope to see you there!

• MHS will be hosting a QC Regional FTC Robotics Qualifier this Saturday Jan. 10th from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM in the MHS Gymnasium. Admission is FREE and there will be concessions. Bleacher seating will be available to the public. Please enter through the main front entrance of MHS.
