SUMMER HOMEWORK – AP Courses:
AP Human Geography Summer Homework – Students taking AP Human Geography should pick up a summer homework packet from Ms. Hansen (Room 11-024).

AP Statistics students for next year please swing by Mrs. Hirschfeld’s room 11-025 before the end of the year to pick up your book and summer assignment.

AP Literature students for next year please stop by Mr. Guerra’s room, 21-033, before the end of the year to review the summer homework and join the Google Classroom.

• Fall boys’ track uniforms/sweats/equipment need to be turned in by the end of the day today or you will receive a bill to replace them. Coach Rusch will be available after school in the locker room/equipment room for collection of your gear. If you have questions, contact Coach Rusch.
• Girls’ Soccer – May 24th vs. Assumption – The JV girls’ game at Assumption will be played at the old grass soccer field (at Assumption High School) starting at 5 pm. There is limited bleacher seating but plenty of room for lawn chairs. There will be no admission to the JV girls’ game. The Varsity game will start at approx. 7:15 pm on the north field at the Saint Vincent Athletic Complex – 780 West Central Park Ave. (two blocks east of Assumption High School).
• Girls’ Cross Country – Any girl not able to attend Monday’s cross country meeting should contact Coach Armstrong in person or by email at tim.armstrong@mcsdonline.org ASAP for important information regarding summer running, and the upcoming season.
• Freshman-Juniors – All library books and materials are Overdue. Please return all library materials ASAP.
• EAT AT MCDONALDS!! Tuesday, May 23rd, from 5-8pm for the German Exchange Program fundraiser. They will give us 10% of all sales during that time. DANKE SCHÖN!!
• The MHS Graduation Ceremony will be rebroadcasted this week on MPW Public Access Channel 9. Check your programming for dates/times.

• Muscatine has been assigned an IGHSAU Regional Girls’ Soccer Game on May 31st at starting at 6 pm. Muscatine will host Pleasant Valley.
• Summer Camps offered at St. Ambrose University this Summer – June 19th-20th, two-day camp with an overnight stay in our residence halls for junior and senior high school students interested in learning more about human anatomy and physiology. Students will explore organ systems on the human cadavers. Below is the link with information on all the camps. • 2017-18 Class Schedules are available in PowerSchool – On the left-hand side there is a menu item ‘Next Year’s Schedule’. An email. ‘2017-18 Class Schedules’ was sent out on May 9th with instructions for questions or changes to your schedule.

• NEEDED….hosts for students from France THIS SUMMER! Language and Friendship are still looking for host families for visiting students from France. They will be here from mid-June to mid-July. You do NOT need to speak/study French; these students are looking for an immersion experience in English and the opportunity to learn about life in the USA. This is a wonderful opportunity to make an international friend.

• Current MHS Parents & Future MHS Parents – MHS Booster Club is looking for a few energetic & committed parents to join us for the 2017/2018 school year! Did you know that the MHS Booster Club represents and supports over 65 high school clubs, activities, and sports? We hold a meeting once a month at the high school & also help with concessions and other great school sponsored activities. It’s a great way to connect, meet new parents & get involved! • Muscatine Junior Tennis Tournament, July 14-16 needs volunteers for the following areas: “Court’s Cleanup Crew”, the “Check-in Table”, “First Aid-ICE-Refreshments”, and “Photographer”.  The date of the actual clean-up of the courts would be Wednesday, July 12th.  Looking for about 8-12 people to help clean up the courts this day.  The tools to do the job I’d ask that the volunteers bring are leaf blowers, rakes, grain shovels, wheelbarrows, buckets and eye protection.  Some of these items will be supplied as well.   Pizza will be provided afterward for the volunteers! • Pearl City Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center Spring Clean Up is looking for 4-5 volunteers on a Saturday or Sunday for 3-4 hours. Date to be set when 4-5 interested students have responded.  If interested, please contact Jeff Cooper at (239) 994-3475.
