  • In honor of Veterans Day, MHS will have a short recognition/remembrance this morning with the reading of poems and playing of Taps so that All service members can be properly recognized.  Thank you to all that have served!
  • Mr. Muscatine tickets will go on sale starting Nov. 14th in front of Student Services during lunch. Tickets are $5. The Mr. Muscatine Pageant will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd starting at 8:30 am in the Auditorium. (Doors will open at 8 a.m.)
  • Class of 2019 – If you missed the Jostens Class Ring meeting yesterday, class ring information packets can be picked up in Student Services.
  • Class of 2019 – Class ring orders will take place on Nov. 17 in front of Student Services during lunch.
  • The Muskie Band’s annual nut fundraiser is underway! Order cashews, mixed nuts, puddles, and chocolate dipped cherries, toffee almonds, malted milk balls, and other sweet treats now – they make great holiday gifts or a treat for yourself!For a flyer with pictures and prices, or to make a purchase, call 299-8082, email mclark@machlink.com, or talk to any of the MHS band students. Walk-ins are welcome at the band’s “nut house” at 1600 Plaza Place. Hours are every Tues. evening from 6-7:30 pm and Sat. morning from 10 am till noon until Dec. 20, so buy now before we run out!
  • The 2016 Muskie Football Banquet will be Sunday night, November 13th at 6pm. We will meet in the Auditorium, with cake and ice cream to follow down in the Cafeteria. All 2016 Muskie football players in grades 9-12 are expected to attend. Parents are also invited to attend.
  • Intramural Twitter Voting – The Activities Department will be offering intramurals during enrichment, and is offering students the opportunity to decide the first intramural activity.  Follow Activities Director Andrew Werling on Twitter at @AndyWerling and place your vote. Please be aware that during intramural sports, the gym will be closed to those that signed up for intramural sports.
  • Participating in a Spring sport?  Girls Spring Sports Conditioning will start the week of Nov. 14th after school in Mr. Falk’s room (AA18) and will take place on Mon/Wed/Thurs. We will be done before 5 pm and we will plan to be outside as much as possible. Please talk to or email Mr. Falk at josh.falk@mcsdonline.org if you have any questions.
  • Winter Sports & Activities Kickoff will be held on November 21st in the MHS Gymnasium starting at 7 PM. Muskie Booster Club Meal by Avenue Subs will be available for $5 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Cafeteria. See flyer for complete event details.  Winter Kickoff Information

  • National Key Club Week – Key Club is a student organization all about focusing on service projects and supporting causes. Next week (November 7th-November 11th) we are celebrating National Key Club Week. We would love if you would come to a Key Club meeting and see what it’s all about. Our next meeting will be on Friday, November 18th at 7:30am in the auditorium.
  • Student Council Coat Drive – Starting November 7th, students will be able to donate coats to Mrs. Thomas’ room (135). In return for donating a coat, you will receive a pass to leave school campus for lunch on November 18th.
  • Reminder – Class of 2017 – Yearbook pictures are due Nov. 17th. See attachment for more details.   Sr. Yearbook Pictures Info
  • Female Soccer Players – Our indoor open gym times will begin in December on Sundays from 4-6 pm. Please contact Coach Bob at mhs.soccercoach@yahoo.com with your interest to play and also your contact information so you can be kept up to date with other opportunities to play.

  • Salvation Army is in need of bell ringers during their Red Kettle Campaign. Bell ringing begins on Nov. 18 through Dec. 24. Inside and outside sites are available. If interested or for more information, please contact Sissy at 563-263-8272.
