• Model UN – There will be a student and parent meeting on Wednesday, November 30th at 6:45pm in Ms. Hansen’s room for sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in attending the Chicago and New York trips. The meeting will be held in Ms. Hansen’s room (11-024, first-floor new wing). You can enter through the front doors located between the math wing and the new wing.
• FCA – We will meet on Wednesday during the lunch hour in room 11-037. There will be pizza!
• MHS Bands will have it’s Winter Concert on Saturday, December 10th at 3 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Admission will be $4/adult, $2/student. Family $10. All passes accepted.
• FFA Members – REMINDER – Fruit order forms are due back on November 28th.
• Winter Conditioning  – To all athletes looking to keep conditioned for spring sports.  Winter conditioning will begin Mon. Nov. 28. We will meet after school 3:40 in the gym foyer by the cafeteria. Please bring workout attire to run outside. If you have questions please see Coach Foxen.
• Countdown to the holidays with delicious German chocolate calendars! Starting December 1, open one window each day until the holidays and enjoy a tasty German chocolate. Calendars are only $4 and can be purchased in room 202, or from a German Club member.
• Auditions for the MHS spring musical, “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, will be held on December 6th and December 7th. Audition times will be available from 4 pm to 6:30 both days (sign up for a time on the board outside the choir room beginning November 21st.) Millie is set in 1922 and has 6 leading roles and 10 featured roles, a large ensemble and 2 numbers that feature tap dancers. • The Muskie Band’s annual nut fundraiser is underway! Order cashews, mixed nuts, puddles, and chocolate dipped cherries, toffee almonds, malted milk balls, and other sweet treats now – they make great holiday gifts or a treat for yourself!For a flyer with pictures and prices, or to make a purchase, call 299-8082, email jstogdill@machlink.com, or talk to any of the MHS band students. Walk-ins are welcome at the band’s “nut house” at 1600 Plaza Place. Hours are every Tues. evening from 6-7:30 pm and Sat. morning from 10 am till noon until Dec. 20, so buy now before we run out!

• Salvation Army is in need of bell ringers during their Red Kettle Campaign. Bell ringing begins on Nov. 18 through Dec. 24. Inside and outside sites are available. If interested or for more information, please contact Sissy at 563-263-8272.
