Fall Bash Dance: Are you ready to glow? The Fall Bash Dance will be on Saturday, October 21st from 9-11 pm in the MHS Cafeteria. Entrance is $5 at the door. Bedeck yourselves in white and neon colors for this blacklight extravaganza! Glow sticks, necklaces, and bracelets will be sold on sight, as well. Invite all your peers to come out for a night of fun and fellowship!

• Boys’ Basketball Meeting: Any students interested in playing basketball need to stop by room 11-014 (Mr. McDonald’s room) and sign up. Tryouts will begin on

• MHS Choir Concert will be on Monday, October 16th at 7 pm in the MHS Auditorium.
  MCSD staff and a guest are free with staff I.D., and we accept student activity passes.
  Adults are $4 and School-aged children are $3. One Family (Parents and All Children)
  will be admitted for no more than $10.

  Just because her mentor is black and graduated from the same high school doesn’t mean she understands where Jade is coming from. She’s tired of being singled out as someone who needs help, someone people want to fix. Jade wants to speak, to create, to express her joys and sorrows, her pain and her hope. Maybe there are some things she could show other women about understanding the world and finding ways to be real, to make a difference. Checkout (or hold) a copy with the library staff!

• Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA): We will meet on Wednesday from 12:00-12:45 pm in the Study Hall room (22-001) upstairs. There will be pizza!
• Model UN: Permission forms for the Des Moines trip are due to Ms. Hansen by Wednesday, October 11 at 3:00 pm.
• Interested in helping others? Interested in travel? Not doing anything for Spring Break 2018?  See Ms. Mohapp about an alternate spring break trip to Ecuador!

• JUNIORS – Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award: Up to $6,500 to be used for furthering your education will be awarded. Juniors will need to submit a project proposal and two letters of recommendation.   Deadline is March 15, 2018.
