Dec. 19 – Finals for 1st, 3rd, 5th period classes
Dec. 20 – Finals for 2nd, 4th, 6th period classes
Dec. 21– Finals for 7th hour class and make-ups
- Vocal Music Boosters Fundraiser at Panda Express – Nov. 2 (located across highway 61 from Wal-Mart).
20% of all sales will come back to support the MHS Choirs!
Each person must have a MHS Choir Flyer with them when ordering. These are available online at www.muscatinevocalmusic.org or by clicking here.
There is a 35 person minimum to benefit from this, so if you are going with a friend, spouse, etc. consider paying separately and each presenting a flyer.

- Thursday, Oct. 27 – 1:45 – 3:45 PM (2-Hour Early Out)
- Oct. 28 – NO SCHOOL – Conference Comp Day
- Baseball Meeting – There will be a brief meeting for all baseball players at 6pm on Tuesday, November 1st in the Commons to discuss an upcoming fundraising opportunity. Please be sure that you attend.
- Sophomore football player equipment return will take place after school on Thursday, Oct. 27th at 1:30 pm in the equipment room.
- Girls’ Cross Country Banquet will be held on Tuesday, November 1 from 6-7:30 in the cafeteria. Seniors should bring a main dish, freshmen side dishes, sophomores, and juniors desserts or fruit. Bring own table service and drinks. All those not running at the state meet should turn in all equipment today or tomorrow to Coach Armstrong. Questions, contact Coach.
- S.O.A.P. will meet Thursday night from 7:30-9:00 at 1880 Highway 38. Weather permitting, we will be outside around a fire, so dress accordingly.
- Ag Students interested in horse or livestock evaluation please report to Ag room during Enrichment on Thursday, Oct. 27th.
- AKOP Jr. – Next meeting will be Wednesday, November 2nd in Mrs. Walker’s room (130 in the science hall) from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm. Hope to see you all there!
- MHS Cheer Tryouts will be October 29th from 9 am to 12 pm in the MHS Gym. If you have questions, please contact Coach Sink at muskiecheercoach@gmail.com
- Sophomore football player equipment return will take place after school on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 1:30 pm in the equipment room.
- Student IDs and photos from all Lifetouch photo dates (Aug. 12 , Sept.6, Oct. 3) are available to be picked up at the Attendance Center.
- Winter Sports Participants (Wrestling, Boys Swim, Basketball, Bowling) – The first practice for winter sports will be starting the 2nd or 3rd week of November. You have to have all your forms in to participate. Stop by the Activities Office room 162 or email kathy.watson@mcsdonline.org to inquire about the forms you need.
- Boys’ Swim Meeting – If you are interested in participating on the Boys’ Swim Team, there will be a short meeting on Thursday, Oct. 27 – 1:30 at the pool. If unable to attend see Coach Anderson at the pool or email at jeanderson@machlink.com
- Wrestling Sign-up – All students interested in wrestling this season, please sign-up in Coach Kane’s room 242. You will also receive wrestling season information.
- Girls’ Basketball – Open gym this week is on Monday and Thursday from 5:45-7:15pm in the main gym.
- The MHS Drama Department will present Play On!, a comedy-farce on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 at 7 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Tickets are $6 and are available at the door. Box office opens at 6:15. Activity and partner passes are accepted! Plan now to join us! Play On! Poster
- Boys’ Basketball – Any students interested in playing basketball need to stop by room AA28 (Mr. McDonald’s room) and sign up. Tryouts will begin on Monday, November 14th.

- Salvation Army is in need of bell ringers during their Red Kettle Campaign. Bell ringing begins on Nov. 18 through Dec. 24. Inside and outside sites are available. If interested or for more information, please contact Sissy at 563-263-8272.
