  • Mr. Armstrong’s freshmen classes will meet in room 12-018 today, Tuesday, October 3.
  • MHS Orchestra Masquerade Concert: On Monday, October 9th, the MHS Orchestras will be presenting their Masquerade Concert. The concert will be at 7:00 pm in the MHS Auditorium with a $2 admission. The concert will feature 3 orchestras with pieces ranging from electric rock to greek-mythology to Led Zepplin. The orchestra will also be dressed in Halloween costume for the concert. Join us for a great evening of music!
  • #ReviewsdayTuesday Exit West: A Novel by Mohsin Hamid

  • Drama Club: Drama Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd, from 3:45-5:00 pm in the auditorium.  Open to any students interested in theater and improvisation!
  • Boys’ Tennis Meeting: Coach Kiser will have a short meeting on Wednesday, October 4, during the lunchtime (12:25-12:40 pm) in Room 21-030, which is Coach Goedken’s room for any boy interested in playing on the high school tennis team. Cookies will be provided!
    Agenda: Physicals and Parent forms, Fall outdoor tennis & Winter indoor tennis.
  • New Scholarship: See Scholarship section below (Dec. 2017)
  • Seniors: Baby ads for the yearbook are due October 6th. Baby Ad Form
  • Juniors: The PSAT test will be held on October 11th at 8:30 a.m. in the Muskie room at the Board Office. The PSAT is a standardized test to help you prepare for the SAT and is also the only way to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Cost of the test is $16. You can sign up for the test in Student Services at MHS. Last day to sign up for the PSAT is Monday, 10/9. There are a limited number of test.   • Seniors: Create your FSA ID for your FAFSA: https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm
    The FAFSA form will become available October 1, 2017 (but you may create your FSA ID anytime before).
  • Boys’ Basketball Open Gym will be held on Monday and Thursday nights from 7:15 ‐ 8:45 pm in the MHS gym.
  • Seniors: Senior pictures need to be uploaded to the yearbook website by November 17th. Senior Picture Form

  • Muscatine Branching Out is looking for volunteers to help deliver pre-purchased trees on the corner of 4th and Mulberry on October 14th from 8:45 am – 12:00 pm. If interested, please contact Jeanne Johnson at jajohnso52@yahoo.com
  • Senior Resources is looking for volunteers to help run kids’ games at the Memories Start With Us Walk, Run, Ride benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association on October 14 anytime from 7:00 am – 1 pm. If interested, please contact Angela or Shannon at (563) 263-7292.
  • Youth Sports Foundation is looking for students to work the YSF concessions on Sundays. If interested, please contact Jim Miller at 563-288-2541.
