- New Scholarships added: See Scholarship section below.
- Seniors: On Wednesday, Sept. 18th during Muskie Time in the Auditorium, a Jostens representative will be presenting graduation materials available for purchase. Order packets will be handed out at this meeting.
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA): Our kickoff meeting will be this Wednesday, September 18 in the Study Hall room (22-001) during Enrichment. Everyone is welcome!

- Model UN Club: For those attending the Des Moines conference, we will meet on Wednesday, September 18 during Enrichment and after school from 3:30-4:30pm in Ms. Hansen’s room (11-024). Choose a time that works for you! Have your background guide read by then.
- Girls’ Basketball: Open gyms this week are Monday and Thursday from 5:30-7:00pm in the main gym at MHS.

- VFW Scout of the Year Program: Entries due March 1, 2020. Annually, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States awards three individual who are: Eagle Scouts, Girl Scout Gold Award recipients, Venture Summit Award recipients and/or Sea Scout Quartermasters who have risen above their peers in exemplifying the qualities of that rank. - Boys’ Basketball: Any boy grades 9-12 interested in playing basketball this winter please contact Coach Windham, john.windham@mcsdonline.org or Room 23-007 in the Business/Foreign Language wing.
- There is a new club this year called Poetry Out Loud. It is a club/contest in which students will study, memorize and recite poetry in a competitive environment with a chance to move on to state and national competitions. Any student who likes poetry and/or theater, and thinks Poetry Out Loud sounds like fun–Join the club by contacting your English teacher or Mr. Gehret in room 11-009 for more information.
- Seniors and Parents/Guardians of Seniors: Baby Ads for the yearbook need to be submitted to Ms. Brown by turning in the form, payment, and picture at the Attendance Center, mailed to the school (Attn: Katie Brown), or dropped off in Ms. Brown’s room (21-035). This form will be mailed home, linked in this email, and has been emailed to all seniors.
- Senior Photos are due November 15th and need to be uploaded to the yearbook website directly. Please refer to the Senior Photos link/form for instructions. This form will be mailed home, linked in this email, and has been emailed to all seniors.

- Breakfast starts at 7:30am and runs until 8:15am and is available in the Cafeteria.

** Silver Cord Opportunities/Volunteer Opportunities **
- The Muskie Early Learning Center is looking for student volunteers to help with our Community Open House on September 19th from 4:30-6:30pm. If you are interested please contact Jessi Freers at jessi.freers@mcsdonline.org.
- The MCSD Food & Nutrition Dept. is looking for MHS students to help students at elementary schools with breakfast cards & getting through the serving lines any time from 7-8am during the 2019-2020 school year.
