Did you know that:
- 250 million people, 15% of the population, have some kind of hearing loss.
- The outside part of your ear is called the pinna and its job is to collect and funnel sound into your ear canal.
- Your inner ear helps to control your balance.
- It is very hard to lip read because there are only 14 visemes or sounds that are visible on the lips. Therefore, the words “olive juice” and “I love You” look the same to a lip reader.
- Ear wax is important for keeping dirt out of your ear canal.
