- Boys’ Basketball Open Gym for tonight, Sept. 28th, has been canceled.
- Students of Active Prayer (SOAP): Join us for S.O.A.P. this Thursday from 7:30-9:00 pm at 707 Sunrise Circle.
- Proofs of student pictures taken on Aug. 11 & Sept. 5 can be picked up in the Student Services Office before school, during lunch, and after school. If you didn’t order pictures but would like to, all the information is on this proof sheet to do so.

- FFA Meeting: Last Thursday of the month will be the Monthly FFA Meeting. The first meeting will be on September 28 starting at 12:00 pm during Enrichment. Anyone interested please attend.

- Girls’ Basketball: Open gym this week is on Monday and Thursday from 5:45-7:15 pm in the main gym.
- Seniors: Create your FSA ID for your FAFSA: https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm
The FAFSA form will become available October 1, 2017 (but you may create your FSA ID anytime before).
- Seniors: On October 17th from 3:00-6:00 pm a Student Success Advisor from the Iowa College Access Network will be coming to MHS to help students and parents fill out the FAFSA. Students should make an appointment with Mrs. Hawkins.
- Seniors: Check out The Common Application at commonapp.org for the most up-to-date list of over 700 colleges and universities to see if the school you wish to apply accepts The Common Application.

- Drama Club: Next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd, from 3:45-5:00 pm in the auditorium. Open to any students interested in theater and improvisation!
- MHS Volleyball Boonie’s Night Fundraiser: Join us at Boonie’s to support Muskie Volleyball! Monday, October 2nd, 5 pm – Close.
- Juniors: The PSAT test will be held on October 11th at 8:30 a.m. in the Muskie room at the Board Office. The PSAT is a standardized test to help you prepare for the SAT and is also the only way to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Cost of the test is $16. You can sign up for the test in Student Services at MHS. Last day to sign up for the PSAT is Monday, 10/9. There are a limited number of test. Please contact your school counselor if you would like more information.

- Muscatine Branching Out is looking for volunteers to help deliver pre-purchased trees on the corner of 4th and Mulberry on October 14th from 8:45 am – 12:00 pm. If interested, please contact Jeanne Johnson at jajohnso52@yahoo.com
- The Mulberry School Fall Carnival is Friday, September 29 and we (PTO) are looking for MHS students who want to have some fun volunteering. We are looking for students who would help parent volunteers take tickets and help run the children’s games, paint faces, watch kids in the bounce house, and the photo booth. The carnival activities run from 5:30-8:00. Please contact Niki at 563-554-9239 to choose your games and time slots.
- Senior Resources is looking for volunteers to help run kids’ games at the Memories Start With Us Walk, Run, Ride benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association on October 14 anytime from 7:00 am – 1 pm. If interested, please contact Angela or Shannon at (563) 263-7292.
- CrossRoads is looking for 10 volunteers to work their Carnival on September 30 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. If interested, please contact Tiffany Hood at 563-260-2630.
- Youth Sports Foundation is looking for students to work the YSF concessions on Sundays. If interested, please contact Jim Miller at 563-288-2541.
- MCSD Food Service is looking for students who would be willing to volunteer at various elementary buildings to get the students through the breakfast line. Times would be 7:40-8:05 am daily. Please email Alisha Eggers at alisha.eggers@mcsdonline.org if you are interested in volunteering.
