Muskie Booster Club’s Annual Cake Auction

Girl/Boy Doubleheader vs. North Scott

The Muskie Booster Club is pleased to announce details for this annual major fundraiser and invite you to attend and watch the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams take on North Scott.

Since the first Cake Auction in Muscatine, the annual budget for the Muskie Booster Club has more than tripled. The Booster Club has been very fortunate to have the support of so many generous businesses and individuals through this annual event, and we know that the students at MHS will be able to count on your continued support.

We invite you to attend our annual fundraiser. Cakes are auctioned off in the gymnasium during half time of both games and between games. To take part in this exciting live auction, we invite you or a representative from your organization to bid on cakes. The girls’ game will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the boys’ game will follow at 7:30 p.m.

You may also want to consider having a cake made for the auction. If you choose to donate a cake, you may bring your cake to the MHS front main entrance on Friday, February 13th before 3:00 p.m. The staff at the attendance office will help you. After 3:00 p.m., you may take your cake directly to the cafeteria. We would like to have all cakes at MHS by 4:00 p.m. (By request, door and rolling cart dimensions follow to help first-time donors. School door dimensions: up to 6′ clearance, rolling cart dimensions: 34.5 L x 20 w and 26.5 L x 18 w)
Another portion of this event is the silent cake auction held in the cafeteria. Groups and individuals from the elementary, middle and high school are asked to make cakes for this part of the evening. Cakes are displayed along with bidding sheets. During the boys’ game, the bidding is closed, with the cake going to the highest bidder.

As a special treat, cake and ice cream will be available in the Howe Commons during the game as part of the concessions. We will also be holding a 50/50 Raffle. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the evening at a cost of $5.00 for two tickets. The support of the Muskie Booster Club to all programs at MHS is essential. With a current budget over $90,000, support is provided to 44 groups, clubs and activities.
