We learned early this morning that a non-credible threat was made against our school in a group text exchange late last night. The Muscatine Police Department took immediate action and has fully investigated this, and it is NOT credible. We know that some students have expressed concern after screenshots from the group text circulated.
Please take this opportunity to talk with your students about the seriousness and consequences of making any threat(s). Encourage your students to speak with you or an adult at our school whenever they see or hear something. Speaking up will help to ensure that immediate action can be taken. In addition, if anyone in our community sees something suspicious, please report it to the school immediately or call the Muscatine Police Department.
