Today is a BLUE Day!

Upcoming events and dates to remember:

Oct. 18 – Fall Choir concert 6:30pm – Lg gym

Oct. 20 – Fall Orchestra concert 6:30pm – Lg gym

Oct. 25 – Fall Band concert 6:30pm – Lg gym

Oct. 24 – 27 – Conference Week

Oct. 27 – 2 hour early dismissal

Oct. 28 – NO SCHOOL

Attention students who have already signed up to possibly work some home athletic events, there is a sign-up sheet in the attendance office for students interested in working wrestling meets, who again have already filled out paperwork from Ms. Hartman.  If you are interested, please sign-up by the end of the day Wednesday, October 12th.  If you have any questions, please Ms. Hartman or email Mr. Walthart at brian.walthart@mcsdonline.org.

7^th & 8^th girls who are interested in playing basketball this year, there is a sign up sheet in the attendance office. Also, there is a sign up sheet for 7^th & 8^th graders interested in wrestling. Practice for both sports will begin Monday, October 17^th. All athletes MUST have a physical, waiver and concussion sheet on file in the attendance office before you can practice.

Instructional Time is very important to us at West. We don’t interrupt class time to deliver messages. Our last class of the day begins at 2:42 and ends at 3:21. Beginning October 3rd, messages must be received before 2:30 to assure they will be announced at2:42.

The sixth grade teachers and students would appreciate if everyone could turn in any Box Tops they have been collecting at home: 6th graders can bring their Box Tops to Mrs. Soy or Mrs. Stutzel, and 7th and 8th graders can bring their Box Tops to the main office. Every Box Top counts!

Stop by the main office to pick up information on the Muscatine Parks and Recreation’s Girls Basketball Clinic 2016. Deadline to register is October 24^th at 5:00pm.

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
