Upcoming events and dates to remember:

Oct. 13 – Fall Choir Concert 6:30pm Lg. gym

Parent Teacher Conferences (Middle School).  These will be walk-in conferences [we will not have appointments]

Oct. 19 – 4:15pm to 7:30pm in the Small gym

Oct. 20 – 4:15pm to 7:30pm in the Small gym

Oct. 20 – Fall Band Concert 6:30pm Lg. gym

Oct. 22 – 1:45pm to 3:30pm in Teacher’s classrooms (2 hour early dismissal)

Oct. 23 – NO SCHOOL

Registration for the 2015-2016 “Little Muskie Wrestling Club” will be at West Middle School Tuesday, October 13^th 5:00pm to 7:00pm and Thursday, October 15^th 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Information and registration forms are available in the main office.

Thursday, October 15 at 6:30pm is the WMS Orchestra Concert in the Large Gym. Students should report at 6:00 with their instruments and music.  Student may dress in a school appropriate costume, or wear something nice.  See you there!

The West Middle School Fall Choir Concert will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the West Middle School Large Gym. Students should arrive and be seated by 6:15 p.m. Students may wear school appropriate Halloween costumes if they want, it is not mandatory. Otherwise students should dress up and look their best. This is part of the student’s grade, so attendance is mandatory unless Mr. Tolle is otherwise notified.

27^th annual Halloween Hike is a non-scary educational Halloween hike by the Muscatine County Conservation Board. This is the 27th year and the theme is “Floodplain Friends.” Plants and animals that live in the Cedar River Floodplain will tell visitors all about themselves along a pumpkin lit trail at Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area. Tickets should be purchased ahead of time as time slots fill up quickly. Hikes are Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17. First hike starts at 6:30pm on both nights with new hikes starting every 10 minutes until 8:00pm. $5.00 per person. Children under 5 are free.

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
